Sherlock getting so invested in an experiment that he doesn't hear John asking him what type of tea he wants. Next thing Sherlock knows, someone is kissing his cheek bringing him back to earth. Sherlock blushes as he focuses back on John, who just kisses his nose and says, "You're adorable, you know that, right?" And before Sherlock can respond, John plants another kiss on his nose, grinning.

Sherlock forgetting about Valentine's Day because of a case until the twenty minutes before John and him exchange their cards. So since he forgets about it and knows that John got him a card, Sherlock kisses him before John hands him his card, whispering to him how much he loves him and how much he means to him. John realizes that Sherlock forgot to buy him a card, but he just tells him that hearing him say that he loves him is better than any gift that he could've ever gotten him.
