Help 😭😭

Theoretically speaking, what would you do if you accidentally printed out a document containing a name of g-d? Is there any way to properly get rid of it or do I just have to keep it forever and keep it safe and stuff? Hypothetically? I can't handle that kind of responsibility! I should not be trusted with a printer. I mean, the hypothetical person in this hypothetical scenario shouldn't be trusted with a printer

I’ve been writing stories for many years and I’ve always managed to avoid the use of the word “G’d” in contexts like “Oh my G’d” or “Dear G’d” because the fandoms I was in almost always had some fictional deity that the characters called out to instead.

The fandom I’m mostly writing for now doesn’t have that since it’s based off the real world. My question is; how do you guys write it? I tend to use “G’d” or “G-d” when texting and such but I’m not sure how to write it when writing fictional dialogue. Help??

In Judaism, certain objects cannot be simply thrown away and must be treated with special respect.  These objects, called Shaimos, include words of Torah or Torah scrolls, Jewish texts containing G-d’s name, damaged holy objects such as  Tefillin or mezuzah, and objects that were used in a Mitzvah such a shofar, etrog, or lulav.  Jewish opinion differs on what exactly constitutes Shaimos, but most would not consider CD’s or audio material to be.  Shaimos may be buried in a genizah or in the ground.
