every jonmartin fic with side timsasha truly believes that tim and sasha have nothing better to do with their time besides setting their friends up. would be interested to see the reverse where martin thinks they’d be cute together and jon who’s known them for awhile longer never saw it until the moment martin mentions it and also gets to see martin, master liar at work, scheming to get their friends alone together and feels something.

so the s1 archive gang starts a mystery solving club when they're like. in the 3rd grade or something starting with little baby mysteries and progressing to more interesting ones like "who stole the school mascot" in middle school and high school. they sometimes pal around with melanie georgie daisy and basira's band which is still a garage band that does the occasional gig around town but mostly they just hang out in georgie's literal garage

then after high school they all go to college in different places except for martin who stays behind and tries to keep up the mystery solving business while they're all gone the best he can but it's really hard. [their mascot] is still sasha's dog but he takes care of him while she's at college. the first summer they come home it's super awkward bc they all forgot to talk to each other at all and it feels like the magic is gone

and then they all hear about a weird mystery and end up investigating the same abandoned house together and there's definitely a Real Ghost or spooky shit going on and it freaks them all out and they run back to tim's van just like old time

and after freaking out they go back to the fave diner and get milkshakes and catch up and martin probably tears up a little because he missed his friends so much

the main inspo was the trailer for the new fanseries + mystery incorporated. with mystery incorporated there's an element of "we're just the latest in a long line of mystery solvers in this town who all came to mysterious ends"

gertrude & co as the last group of mystery solvers who all died mysteriously

now what if gertrude is the only living member because the rest died and became real actual ghosts. what i’m leading to is Ghost Agnes

ghost agnes who, over the decades since it has happened, feels like she got an unfair hand and not enough of a chance at life and it’s manifesting into anger and destruction

and maybe agnes’s ghost only being properly soothed once gertrude is dragged out by the gang to give her the closure she needs to move on and it’s very romantic and sets the house on fire

elias was part of the crew and got possessed and is the shitty mayor now

oh their headquarters is a treehouse they built as kids but had to rebuild after it got wrecked by worms.

i like to think once they've solved the mystery of their town they're just like "well what now" and tim is just "well i just filled up the van with gas so we could just drive until we hit the next mystery." and then they proceed to have canon typical mystery adventures around the world
