A different version of the proposal

A few years ago, the thought of sleeping with someone else in his bed had been repulsive to Sheldon. Now he missed it more than anything. Amy had only been gone for a couple of days and he was fine. But he missed her. He missed being held by her, feeling safe and warm. Every time he had a nightmare, she was there to calm him down. He loved her with all of his heart.

Sheldon got up, got dressed and was almost out the door, wanting to get to work, as he decided to do something else. He took the ring box in his hand, looked at it and smiled. Then he grabbed a suitcase and started packing. Half an hour later he was knocking on Leonard’s door. Sheldon asked his best friend to drive him to the airport, explaining his plan.

An hour later Sheldon was at the airport with all his friends, they all wanted to be there. Not what he had planned, but he was thankful to have his friends with him. He had never before been so nervous in his life.

The fligth seemed to last years, before they finally landed. And another eternity seemed to pass, before Sheldon was standing before Amy’s door. The gang was standing on the side, as Sheldon took out candles and rose patels of a bag and placed them on the floor. He didn’t care much for this stuff, but Amy did, and that was all that mattered. Penny was standing there with a big smile on her face and a video camera in her hand.

Sheldon took a deep breath before he knocked on Amy’s door. He got down on one knee and opened the ring box. At the same time, Amy opened the door, looking shocked as she saw him. “Amy Farrah Fowler. The need to find another human being to share one’s life with has always puzzled me, until I met you. And now I don’t wanna spend one day without you. I love you. Will you marry me?”

And he couldn’t help but notice that the smile on her face in this moment is the most beautful thing he’s ever seen. “Yes, of course I will”, she finally declared excited. And then there were her lips on his and their friends were cheering. He put the ring on her finger and it fit as perfectly as she does to him. He held his fiancée in his arms. Soon he’s gonna call her his wife. And that thought is more comforting and wonderful than sleeping next to her. She felt like love. She felt like happiness. She felt like home.

RE: TBBT S10E24......The Proposal.......

I have watched the episode, and I must say.........I was cheering along with the crowd, when Amy opened that door to find Sheldon, her sweet babboo, the man who loves her, DOWN ON ONE KNEE, with The Ring.........I mean, she gets up, hearing that familiar knock, like....”WTF?” But, there he is.......asking her THAT question........call me crazy, but I think she’ll say “YES!!!”

RE: TBBT Season Finale (and I haven’t even watched it yet....)

I heard about Ramona’s reappearance, and her flirtations with the eminent Dr. Wackadoodle. However, as the seemingly one male in this Shamy fandom bunch, here’s a guy’s views on the situation:

Something in me told me that Sheldon would NOT succumb to the charms of Dr. Hussy-Butt, because he knows that he has a GREAT thing going with Amy, as he admitted last week. I mean, no man who doesn’t care for & desire his S.O., like Sheldon does Amy, would have broken his almighty routine, and made love with Amy before she left for Princeton. That’s why he showed no intention toward Ramona. He’s not interested in her, because he loves Amy so much. 

I can relate to his gratitude for what he has with his “heartworm”, because I feel the same way about what I have with Wifey. Because of that gratitude, besides his normal naivete’, he didn’t even give a thought to anything beyond a professional relationship with Ramona, because he has committed to Amy. He doesn’t want to mess up what he has with that “cute little lump of wool”.

Also, I DO think that, come Season 11, 2 things WILL happen.......

1.) Sheldon WILL admit that Ramona kissed him, but that he didn’t return the kiss. He wouldn’t want to keep that a secret from Amy, because he’s a good man.

2.) Amy WILL say “Yes!”, and many Shamy smooches, plus possibly, them “making whoopee” again shall occur.......

I’d like to see all 3 of the girls gang up on Ramona........give her what-for.

TBH I don't really agree with you. Maybe I'm wrong, but I kinda feel like Shamy are the kind of couple that would not change much after marriage (maybe with the exception of having coitus twice a year lol). Also, I don't think Howardette and Lenny got bad after getting married. I stopped liking Lenny in season 4, but now I like them again (10x06 was awesome). And Howardette is my fave couple from the show, and yeah, sometimes they'd have little fights, but they'd often just banter and it's funny

What you said about Shamy being different and the writers treating Shamy different has also been said by @anicez-shamy :

“They are proving episode per episode Shamy has things that the other couples not, for example things in commun, and that make living together easier.”

I agree with you guys, they’ve always been different and the writers have always treated them differently too, so.. hopefully that will transpose to this whole marriage thing.

Something else you guys talked about was a long engagement, like @wafelisen

and @anicez-shamy as well:

“If the proposal happens this season (that I hope yes) the wedding preparations can take almost all the next season, I can see a lot of funny episodes where Raj helps them with the preparations and drives them crazy, Sheldon trying to invite all the famous people he thinks are his friends (like Stephen Hawkings…), Sheldon visiting Amy´s family, maybe Mary trying to they get marry in a church, Amy and the girls choosing dresses, a crazy bachellor party for the boys (with Kripke, Bert, Will ..) and a bachellor party for the girls (maybe in Vegas?).  The wedding in some funny place (maybe in a train? LOL)”

And I have to say, I totally dig that, as long as the subject of a wedding comes up. I.e, not like with Lenny where they never spoke about it and then they just got married in Vegas!?!? I’d be pissed if that happened.

I also love the idea about discussing babies and stuff, since super deep episodes about things like that make a lot of sense to me, ‘cause it’s usually something you talk about before it actually happens.

Same with being married, I feel like since Sheldon’s parents were so unhappy during their marriage (and who knows about Amy’s dad?!), he’d have some reservations about that. It’s already been explored when they first moved in together and Sheldon was worried about cheating on Amy like his father did on Mary, so... That might be enough but who knows.

Anyway, this actually worked! I feel much better about this now. Thank you all <3

Fanfiction

So, guys. There’s the story I wrote about the Shamy engagement. It will be a multichapter story. Tonight I post the first chapter and if you like it, I will continue it.

„Amy, my dearest sweet little vixen! You are the love of my life. You are the best thing which ever happened to me. I’m so lucky, because I can call you mine. Two years ago I thought I lost you forever, but you came back to me with more love and tenderness. Look at us now. We are living together and I love you much more than ever. Much more than I once imagined that it could be possible. I never want to loose you again. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. You are my best friend, you are my lover, you are my soulmate. In conclusion you mean everything to me, Amy Farrah Fowler! I will be the happiest man in the world, if you say yes for one question. Amy Farrah Fowler, will you marry me?”

Amy stood there silently for a few minutes. She heard her heart beating loudly and almost fainted when Sheldon finished his speech. But after she finally recovered from the shock, she happily threw her arms around her good looking boyfriend’s – pardon: fiancé’s- neck and squeled loudly:

„Yes, Sheldon! A thousand times yes! I want to be your wife so much. I love you, Sheldon Cooper. I want to be with you until the day I die.”

Sheldon peeled off Amy’s left hand from his neck for a moment while he slipped the ring on Amy’s finger and then he pulled her closer to him again. He gently kissed her lips and murmured to her:

„I love you, my dear. I can’t believe you said yes to me. I am the luckiest man in the Earth, because I have you. I was afraid, you will say no.”

Amy frowned.      „But why? Why did you think that I will say no, when you pops the question to me?”

„I-I don’t know. I was afraid, you think it is too late, and maybe you think that I am not enough comitted to you and I don’t want to loose you again, and…” Sheldon stopped speaking, because Amy hushed him with a passionate kiss. Sheldon finally relaxed to the kiss, he wrapped his arms around Amy’s body. One of his hands was softly caressing her back and the other was combed her hair. 10 minutes later they finished kissing, because their lips were red and swollen. Amy smiled brightly to her man and whispered to his ear:

„Don’t you think we have to take it to the bedroom, my love?” Sheldon’s eyes were glistened

„Amy Farrah Fowler, you are a mind reader! Please, lead me, my queen.”

„Gladly, my king” answered the girl and they dissappeared in their bedroom.

I figured we’d have at least ONE more.......I mean, come on, we HAVE TO at least have the Shamy wedding!!!! Let’s hope for the best, folks.
