Shane Endsley
Mr. Endsley is a trumpeter and composer whose most prominent post is with Kneebody, which plays a form of intricate chamber-jazz with heavy grooves. As a bandleader on his own, he often moves in more shadowy realms, which raises some intrigue for a performance with Nate Radley on pedal steel and electric guitars, Uri Caine on piano, Matt Clohesy on bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums.
Here is an exciting live version of Blue, Yellow, White (BYW on the set lists;) The original is found on our studio album, Low Electrical Worker. This version is from a tour of Italy in 2007 and it heavily features the Kneebody cueing system. Most noticeable changes in the music are initiated by a musical message from one of the players.
"This is Kneebody live in Paris in 2012. The song is from our bass player Kaveh Rastegar. You Can Have Your Moment can also be found as the title track of our Winter and Winter album from 2010." - Shane Endsley
Kneebody is a band of composers.
