Níl a fhios ag éinne cad gur féidir leo a dhéanamh go dtí go mbíonn seans acu smaoineamh faoi, ach nach mór an taithí é nuair a bhíonn ort déaláil gan an smaoineamh agus nuair a éiríonn leat dá bharr!?

No-one knows what they can do until they have the chance to think about it, but what an incredible experience it is when you have to cope without the deliberation and you succeed as a result!?

Cabhrú le daoine.  

                Uaireanta, bíonn sé éascadh cabhrú le daoine , airgead nó leabhar a thabhairt, is uaireanta bíonn orainn am a chaitheamh air; múineadh, éisteacht srl.  Chun an fhírinne a rá, bíonn sé níos deacra cabhair a lorg ná a thabhairt.  Gach rud ráite, nach gciallaíonn ‘fásta’ go bhfuil tú neamhspleách ó gach duine eile ar domhain.  Ciallaíonn fásta rud iontach domsa: ábalta laganna a admháil is a nochtadh.  Ní amháin go poiblí, ach go pearsanta chomh maith.  

Nuair a thagann duine ag lorg cabhrach, tuigim go raibh orthu troid leo féin sular chuir siad an cheist orm.  Conas gur féidir iad a dhiúltú?  Nuair is féidir libh ar fad, cabhraigí le daoine ionas gur féidir linne ar fad maireachtáil.  Mar atá ar eolas ag cách, Is ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine.

Helping people.

Sometimes it’s easy to help people, lending a book or money and sometimes it demands of our time, teaching, listening etc.  To tell the truth, its easier to give help than to look for it.  When all’s said and done, doesn’t ‘grown up' mean independent of everyone else in the world?“Grown up ‘ means something wonderful to me: to be able to admit your faults not just publicly, but personally too.

When people come looking for help, i know they’ve had to fight themselves before they’ve asked me.  How could you refuse them? Help people when you can, all of you, so we can all exist.  As everyone knows, we live in each other’s shadow.

Ní thagann ciall roimh aois, ach ní cheapann an duine óg e sin riamh!  Níor cheap mise é agus ní dóigh liom go nglacfaidh mo chuid gasúir leis go dtí go bhfuil siad ag druidim in aois liomsa.  Sin an rud eile áfach.  Ag daichead is a ceathar, ní dóigh liom go bhfuilim sách sean chun a bheith ciallmhar ach oiread!  Ní mhothaím níos mó ná fiche cúig.  nuair a bhuailim le daoine eile anois, cuirim ceist orthu " An bhfuil tú sásta le do shaol mar atá faoi láthair?"

Cuireann sé sin ag smaoineamh iad.  cuireann sé mé féin ag smaoineamh!  "an bhfuilim sásta le mo shaol mar atá.....

Bhuel, ...an bhfuil tú?

Sense doesn't come before age, but no young person ever thinks that!  I didn't think it and i don't think my children will accept it till they are approaching the same age as me.  Thats another thing though.  At forty four, I don't believe I'm old enough to be sensible either!  I don't feel any more than 25!  When I meet people now, i ask them one question "are you happy with your life as it is at present?"  

That gets them thinking.  It even gets me thinking.  Am I happy with my life at present....

Well,  ...are you?

Ag obair le múinteoirí bunscoile atá mé an tseachtain seo agus daoine den scoth atá iontu ar fad.  Cé nach bhfuil ach dhá mhí acu don samhradh, tá siad ar ais ar scoil arís liom ag foghlaim faoi chláir bána.  Nuair a thagaim abhaile gach oíche, is tamall beag a bhíonn agam chun súgradh leis na gasúir agus nach mise a bhíonn ag foghlaim ansin?

Daidí cabhraigh liom.....  éist loom, bí liom srl.

Am beag ar gach rud agus rud eile á foghlaim an t-am ar fad.  sin a mholaim daoibh ar fad.  Luí sa gháirdín, gearr an féar, déan císte milis agus thar aon ní eile...  Bainigí sult as!

I'm working with primary teachers this week and they are all wonderful people.  Though they only have two months for summer holidays, they're back at school with me again learning about whiteboards.  When I get home in the evenings, it's little time I have to play with the children and sure isn't it me who's learning then?

Daddy help me,...   ... listen to me stay with me etc

A little time on everything and learning going on the whole time.  That's what i recommend to you all.  Lie in the garden, cut the grass, make a cake and above all else...  Enjoy it!
