when you really think about it, shanks has no sense of fashion. at all. he would literally wear the ugliest pants and won't even bother to button his blouse. and he thinks wearing a black cape would solve it? fuck no! mister, you look like a fucking beggar.
but the irony is he can pull it off! all because he's a handsome mf. talk about pretty privilege. you'd really not be scared of a man who can't even dress well? think again. this man literally has women half his age fawning for him. so maybe at least he smells good… or not.
