my favorite headcanon I have is that Eddie thought gender was just like. massive prank everyone played on each other and then he found out that people actually had one (or more) and was like "FOR REAL??????? fuck that noise" and became as genderless as possible bc they really didn't want anyone to think they were a participant
as for my favorite episode, for a while it was the tsunami arc but May Day (5x16) has taken it's place. that episode was just so good on so many levels

For the sleepover weekend--what are some of your favorite Eddie headcannons ☺️
ok so obviously he/they Eddie is my number one headcanon forever and always but here are some of my other ones
he's insanely good at carnival games that are supposed to be rigged but doesn't like playing them so no one really knows abt it
when he cooks he plays his favorite Mexican music bc a) he hardly ever gets to listen to it otherwise except for driving and b) it reminds him of abuela and cooking with her when he was a kid
on shift he sleeps all stiff and straight but at home he starfishes. when he and buck had to share a bed during quarantine, buck woke up on the first night with Eddie half sprawled on him and was just like "w...what"
he pretends not to but he LOVES reality television. not the romance shit like the bachelor or 90 day fiance tho, he prefers shows with more drama like real housewives or drag race. he gets wine drunk and watches them with Maddie and Karen respectively
he likes to draw in his free time. nothing too elaborate or complex, just a few sketches here and there. they're not super good, but they aren't bad and it's a good way for him to feel less jittery after a bad shift or nightmare. no one knows abt it, not even Chris. he's got a sketchbook and some pencils tucked away in his night stand

It makes me like I dunno feel a lot of things with every chapter and I'm just sorry some of the comments last chapter were such a dumpster fire? ah i'm so glad!! i actually didn't post about the holiday cards this year—i was traveling at the end of november and start of december so i wasn't even sure if i was gonna get to send any cards at all. but it didn't feel like the holidays without sending cards to some of my favorite people!! so i wound up buying a bunch last minute and sending them out last week knowing they'd probably arrive late for a lot of people. i'm so glad yours arrived today, especially when you needed the boost!! wishing you the happiest of new years 🥰🥰

my favorite part of the breakdown era is probably the build up to the actual breakdown. I know 5a gets a lot of shit from some people, but the way they prepped for the actual breakdown, the more subtle signs that eddie's mental state isn't as good as he's projecting, like at the hospital fire when it looks like the kids didn't make it. it was just done so well and realistically
