SHAPE Announces Class of 2018
One of MusicMap.Global’s favourite enterprises, SHAPE, has just revealed the list of artists it will be supporting in 2018.
The initiative is organised by various music festivals in Europe, and is designed to be a pan-continental support network for underground talent which otherwise may find it difficult to find a platform. You can read our extensive interview with two of the co-founders Viestarts Gailītis and Rihards Endriksons from earlier in 2017 by clicking HERE.
Alumni from 2017 includes NSDOS, v4w.enko and SKYH1.
If anything, 2018’s selection is even more eclectic than the last. Instead of overloading you with information – and why read about music when you can dance to it? – we put (nearly) all of this years Class into one handy SoundCloud playlist for your enjoyment. Expect interviews with a selection of these artists to appear here on MusicMap.Global during the next twelve months.
If real-life experiences are more your thing, then book a ticket for Berlin’s CTM 2018 festival, where a handful of SHAPE’s chosen ones will be playing. For those of you outside of Europe there’ll also be showcases taking place at Canada’s MUTEK and Brazil’s Novas Frequências.
