But yeah, like this thing, really well designed! Props to @toatom he’s got skill with the modelling , I do have some complaints but they’re directed at shapeway, like this thing feels like it’s about to break, idk if it actually will and I won’t try to test it but ye, idk if everyone else’s feels this fragile but wow I was not warned.

But ye, at first I thought the mask was kinda too big but honestly I can see tom tried his hardest to wrap the mask around the head, it’s rpretty tight! The mask is big but that’s the metru head’s fault! :D

Oh shit and this thing is really fucking expensive! Fuck you Ruben! Why the fuck are we friends?!?!?

Review of custom Articulated hand

Haven’t done this in months, welcome to another shapeway review and instead of reviewing custom mask, it is on this Articulated Hands made by Leewan.

The hands are 14 piece for each hands. You can get the Thumb Attachment and Main Part separately

The hands don’t have any details on it, which I find this to be a good thing, it helps to not stick out on any MOCs.

But a problem with this is the connection of fingers isn’t good, because most of the time when I move the finger, it look like it’s about to come off. It’s a good idea for Leewan to make the gaps on the fingers a bit bigger.

Now the axel hole is just bad, it’s a nightmare to get a ½ axel (not as in 1 axel of a 2 axel, it’s ½ a axel) in the hole or it can’t even get in the hole at all. The only thing that can connect is anything like a lightsaber rod and T piece.

Overall I do not recommend getting these fingers, until the problem of these fingers are fixed.

The concepts of these hands are a good idea but hope when they are out of Betaand the problem are fix, the execution isn’t poor.

Bear Dance Sculpture!

Today was bearmantooth's birthday; another insanely talented artist here at work! This piece is based on his iconic dancing bear illustration

And this is the the model with base colors painted in acrylics and silver nail polish ;)

And the end result! Final details were added using dry brushed acrylic, chalk pastel and clear nail polish, of course :P He was mounted on a board of wood, which was painted and fitted with a small clay wedge to prop it up at an angle :)
