Sort of Counter Argument for Preston

Regarding Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 for people reading here, I don't think Preston Willard, a former scientist involved in the Special Project, which is human-turned-into-toy-experiment, is a silent punished toy of Catbee.
Based on the lines of two from the Prototype, Poppy Playtime VHS tapes, talking about Preston, some are suspiciously sentimental to be a manipulation tactic, not "you're useful" wording here. It sounds honest at most: "I'm so glad you were there when I needed you, Preston", "Now, I can be there for you. Always", "The other is my good friend Preston", and "Preston was always nice to me". Based on the Prototype's tendency to make toys useful if proven, I don't think he'd turn Preston into a stationary toy. Preston wouldn't be useful (unless that's a punishment, but look at Lily Lovebraids, her life as a toy is a damnation for what she has done in the past, even if she is mobile), plus, it will bore the Prototype, unless that's what he wants Preston to be. It is also a reward for cooperation and for understanding their pain.
Preston can be an emotional support of the Prototype, who hid him in Lily's house (my headcanon and most likely guess), because who wants their most valued person to be preyed on? The Prototype spares people if he has benefits on his side. Expressive and responsive Preston makes sense too, for we have the information that the Prototype had Preston after ten days of his survival with Jessica until Chum Chomkins found them, post Hour of Joy event. With that, Preston remembered fragmented memories (realistically brain dead, Preston's brain would have been in a liquefaction state until the Prototype revive him. Some of the neuron tissues are destroyed, even if the Prototype used the Poppy Gel to fill in the necessary neuron tissues for function, like the cortex and hippocampus. Which are the two easily affected parts without oxygen, degrading in minutes even if turned in to the Prototype), the Prototype can reframe scenarios, filter truth, or didn't let on what has happened into the gaps in Preston's brain. Making Preston less likely to be guilty of himself, also less likely to reject the Prototype.
Making an immobile toy that can't speak up, is usually done for individual that has their whole memories (volunteer for turning into a toy, such as for Thomas Clark, an employee at Playtime. Co volunteered to be a smaller toy of Bron), so that they wouldn't rebel against anyone (or again, as a punishment). While for Preston, his memory is fragmented so his emotional sensory memories is stronger (strong familiarity to the Prototype, abet good experience with him, isn't scared of him. Applying to other memories that Preston otherwise would be horrified towards it). If he isn't exposed to other toys that knew the whole ordeal, then Preston wouldn't resist or rebel, since his reconstructed understanding is a filtered truth from the Prototype. Why make a toy immobile when they only knew part of the event that happened? When this toy is dearly cared?
So, from my interpretation, Preston isn't stationary, in fact, quite the opposite of the Prototype's design. It isn't canon but I concluded to that the Prototype headed this direction of designing Preston. Making Preston stable even in a smaller body.
