Strawberry Peak | Angeles National Forest | June, 2015
The Angeles National Forest is very close to home - I can drive 30 min and be at the top looking out over the valley all the way to the ocean (on a clear day). LA has it’s fair share of natural, beautiful areas - there are botanical gardens, and parks, trails, hills and lakes. The Angeles National Forest is so easily accessible that we often will spend the day driving and poking around. The trails and recreation areas are less crowded than Griffith Park. So, it makes for a great, quick get-away when you need to get out of the city.
On a day that should have been filled with taking care of adult responsibilities we took off in search for “rustic” things for this months Share Six theme. This isn’t quite what I had in mind...or more specifically, what I had sketched out in my notebook, but it will do - it is as rural and rustic as we could get.
Share Six is a monthly themed photo challenge. You can check out more about the monthly series and the Sharetographers community, here.
