Happy Monday everyone!!!! For this week's #MondayMuse I am excited to tell a story. Whenever I loan out copies of my books I annotate them first. That way the people who borrow them know it is okay to add their thoughts and feelings in the margins as well. This is one of my many @realiainsthomas books. He's signed 3 of my favorite copies of his books (I own minimum 3 copies of all his books) and slowly but surely this is becoming a new favorite. It's taken on a life of its own that I never expected. It has been read and added to from every house I've lived in since it's release, in each new stage of life since then as well. It started out as just text - but now has illustration, colors, and more memories than poetry or photography on their own would ever know how to convey. I know not everyone feels comfortable writing in books, but if you've never tried this. I think that's the muse this week. Find a book you love. Annotate it. And share it. Every time it comes back the experience is heightened and changed. A time capsule. An ongoing conversation. A piece of artistry. Someday I hope this is how every copy of any book I've crafted will live. What are your muses this week?
