I'm so tired of people treating Kieran like he's manipulating the player or whatever like HE'S A CHILD!!! Also I'm tired of people saying people who don't like how Carmine treated him just hate low empathy people and women like. She gets better! I love the other parts of her character! But you can't deny that she infantilizes Kieran and blames his genuine distress from being wronged on "teen angst" as well as the obvious "at least I didn't hit him" line. You can't deny that her mistreatment of him is what leads him astray. She has every right to be angry and abrasive to tourists, but the way she takes it out on her brother obviously harmed him. No, Kieran doesn't see Ogerpon as an object - he just clings to those who he believes understand him and wants to feel like he belongs. He's not evil. He's a mentally struggling young teen who clings to any semblance of acceptance in his life and believes he was wronged by the person he trusted.

No, people are not ableist or misogynistic for saying Carmine's actions were harmful and caused emotional pain. No, comparing her hate to the likes of how fans treated Nemona is not fair. Yes they're wrong for narrowing her down to a one-dimensional abuser who can never be redeemed. But it's okay to acknowledge that she's hurting her brother. She's not evil for it. She's a mentally struggling teen/young adult whose struggles seep into how she treats the people she cares about.

Medusa is such an interesting character to me, even though she's underutilized. There's so many open ends to her character that I explore through fanon. As I think about it more and more, I'd think that a story told in Medusa's point of view rather than Pit and Palutena's would be a tragedy. She was once the goddess of darkness to the goddess of light - two powers in a cycle equally matched. But eventually, her hubris got to her and she started to abuse her destructive powers. The balance was broken, and it would never be fixed. Now the goddesses were at war with each other, and in an act of retaliation Palutena turned Medusa into her gorgon form. The two's hatred grew and grew until Medusa died.

There's no denying that Medusa's actions were evil, but the fact that Hades never let her soul rest peacefully was also callous. It was not karmic punishment. He just wanted her to be his pawn. With each forced revival Medusa grew weaker and weaker, her mind not quite as able to grasp memories...but it was still her. Her appearance was the mix of Palutena's memories and Pit's - combining her original goddess form and her gorgon form without any of her own agency. To me, even though she acted surprised when Hades took her arm, she still knew that Hades would inevitably kill her once she finally turned against him if she didn't kill him first. Yet she jumped in anyway - she finally found out what was happening to her and she didn't stand for it anymore. When Hades killed her that would probably be the last time she dies ever. But still, her final stand against Hades was one of the many things that caused Pit to win.

Hey, when there's a mass shooting on the news and it's revealed to be done by a mentally ill/mentally disabled person. What NOT to do is see someone being mentally ill and immediately say you think they're gonna get a gun. Capiche?

It honestly feels like people on tumblr are starting to really amp up their hate against people with anxiety disorders. This post is more about what I personally need for my anxiety, but I hope it helps other people with anxiety too as people start ramping up their hate.

-Everybody messes up. Even if you mess up more than others because of your motor skills, you still deserve to let yourself mess up as many times as you need to.

-You shouldn't try to make your presence as small as possible to please people. If taking up space around a group of people gets you shunned, maybe they are not the best people to be around.

-Anxiety is a perfectly valid reason to take a day off to rest. It is a chronic mental illness. Treat it as such.

-Your friends support you and care for you. They want to help you. You're not burdening them by asking for their help no matter how much strangers on the internet try to tell you you are.

-If people tout how much they support mentally ill people but still cut you off because of your anxiety, that is their problem to deal with, not yours.

-Most people on this website are still young. You have time. Even people who aren't fighting mental illness take breaks for themselves. Taking a day's rest won't destroy you.

-Recovery is not easy, nor is it linear.

-You deserve to be able to vent without people pushing you away.

-You are not morally bad for having anxiety symptoms.

Idk if anyone else here reads pokespe but I'm pretty emotional about this and I need a place to spill my feelings where people might understand so. Here I go! I love the RSE arc for the most part, it's easily my favorite pokespe arc. However, it's REALLY telling how Wally, the green-palleted character who works to summon rayquaza and could've been the perfect emerald of the trio, was shelved for some original character. I thought he might've died or something but no! He's alive and he even came back for the ORAS arc! This is the only time where a canon character was replaced with an original guy. It's so fucking weird and it feels targeted.

I can't help but see the only chronically ill rival in the series be shelved like this and think there were some weird motives. And when I complained about this people told me "oh he couldn't be a dexholder because of his illness!" when Norman literally created accessibility devices for him and he had so much support from the other dexholders. As someone who's chronically ill in the same way as Wally I'm just. Augh.

They basically set him up to be a dexholder in every way only for him to be replaced with some original guy that's the fandom's darling and if anyone discusses this they'll be attacked by his fans. EDIT: It’s come to my attention that Emerald is also a disabled character. I still think Wally should’ve been the dexholder instead of an original character. I also made an unintentionally ableist remark towards Emerald in my frustration and I profusely apologize for that. I’ll reread the emerald arc, but I still think it was not right for Wally to be shelved.

I think Palutena haters need to understand that morally imperfect does not mean evil. Yes her idol description says her motives are mysterious and she doesn't make entirely morally sound decisions at times but that doesn't mean she's an evil woman who kicks puppies.

Fun fact about Kid Icarus Uprising! One of the pawpad orbitars looks like it might be based on Masahiro Sakurai's cat Fukura! This isn't conclusive but knowing how Sakurai loves to put his cat in games it tracks.
