It was the Senior Year Showcase, and Y/N was a backstage crew but you loved singing especially with Sharpay, speaking of her, it was almost time for her performance. "Where’s Troy? OK, he’s around here somewhere." Sharpay said and Ryan showed her his outfit. "Cute pants."
"You look good, Ryan. You’re on, Sharpay." You said and Sharpay did her vocal warm-ups.
Sharpay took her place on stage and starts singing. "I got a lot of things I have to do, all these distractions, our future's coming soon. We’re being pulled a hundred different directions. You’re on my mind, you’re in my heart It doesn't matter where we are, we’ll be all right. Even if we’re miles apart." Sharpay sings but your eyes go big when you realize someone is missing.
Y/N looks at Ryan with a nasty look in your eyes. "What did you do and where is Troy?" Ryan didn’t answer her but just shrugged his shoulders.
On stage, Sharpay nervously chuckled. "Even if we’re miles apart." Sharpay is almost starting to panic.
Not wanting her to be embarrassed, You gave Ryan your clipboard. "Take this." The clipboard hit his chest and made him groan as you ran off somewhere off stage.
Sharpay was now about to panic but kept repeating the same verse. "Even if we’re miles and miles and miles apart." She sings.
The music started again and out came Y/N in a sparkly jacket. "All I wanna do is be with you, be with you." Sharpay smiled at you and you both took hands.
Sharpay and you starts to sing together. "There’s nothing we can’t do. Just wanna be with you, only you, no matter where life takes us. Nothing can break us apart." You spun Sharpay around and tilted her down a bit and brought her up. "You know it’s true." You sang by yourself.
"I just wanna be with you." Sharpay and you sang together again but your faces were very close with foreheads touching. Sharpay was smiling at you so big, she mouthed thank you as the audience clapped and cheered for them. You nodded your head as a response with faces still close, you leaned in towards her and lips connected.
Was there a spark, there was one and as you pulled away, Sharpay was still smiling. Nothing could ruin the moment but you took her hand as you two walked off stage smiling.
They walked past Ryan who smirked but smiled at you, he has been secretly hoping that Sharpay and (Y/N) would get together and now it might be possible. You smiled at the boy as behind their backs, Ryan cheered. "Yes!" Ryan exclaims quietly.
