Sharrowkyn & Lucius fighting over reader. Lucius makes a show of his feelings for you through grandiose displays of adoration. he does everything he believes is expected of a lover ten-fold. though he is especially rambunctious around a particular Raven Guard. to Lucius, Sharrowkyn is a worthy rival. a nameless swordsman who’d nearly bested him and left without so much as giving his name. so when you catch Lucius’ eye, he makes sure to rub it in the Raven’s face how precious and darling you are as if goading the Raven into trying something. after all, he had something Sharrowkyn did not!
to Sharrowkyn there was no competition at first. he’d found Lucius’ displays of affection rather off putting, dismissing it as some kind of bizarre mating ritual exclusive to the Emperor’s Children. Lucius had always been a showoff; this was nothing new and Sharrowkyn had come to expect the unexpected where it came to him. it's after his next duel with Lucius that his interest in you grows. he notices Lucius sharing a secret smile with you after an expertly delivered lunge, his waltz of blades perfectly balanced and his theatrics more centered around YOU rather than their duel. this irritates Sharrowkyn in a way he does not understand.
in his quest for answers, Sharrowkyn finds himself developing feelings for you. does wraith-slipping into Lucius’ private chambers count as a quest? voyeurism spoiler.
