Obi-Wan was sure that her sight would be more distressing if he hadn’t already walked passed dozens of failed clones, broken and deformed copies of his apprentice.

“You’re the Master,” the girl said after studying him with a curious look.

Obi-Wan’s throat closed up and he wondered what about his appearance had let her to believe he could be anything like Palpatine.

“He said you’d come, he was so sure,” the girl continued and did not waste any time grabbing Obi-Wan’s arm and dragging him deeper into the complex, past many empty tanks until, finally, they reached an occupied one.

And Anakin was staring back at him with empty eyes.

Trying to fit this into 5 sentences was a chicken nugget of work but this prompt had me like 👀 Uuh AOTC Anakin getting getting captured and cloned?

Anakin has never seen Obi-Wan angry before. Until this moment, he would have doubted it was possible. The concept of his Jaieh raising his voice is— genuinely unfathomable. 

Being confronted with that unfathomable thing leaves him gaping and shockingly hollow inside. 

“What,” says Obi-Wan, that anger so present in his voice that Anakin can barely follow his words, “were you thinking? What did you think you were doing, Padawan? Why did you do that, of all the boorish, uncalled for, unsafe things you could have done? You could have gotten yourself and at least 30 civilians killed, why—” 

 “I—” Anakin starts, nearly chokes on his tongue. He’s so shocked he can’t even find the bravado to raise his voice back. “Jaieh, heleo, I wasn’t— I didn’t mean— Obi-Wan, I just wanted to keep you safe, ‘cause you’re important to me, and—”

“If I am so important to you,” Obi-Wan cuts him off, which he has never done before, “that you would risk the lives of yourself and others for only me, then you are drowning in bexl, Padawan. We will discuss this more later.”

anthropology is honestly fascinating, it changes the way you think, see and understand civilisation, but unfortunately french anthropology can be summed up by the post that goes:  “a French man will write something like “the structured structure is structured by structuring structures” and the academic community goes bananas” like,,, THAT’S IT. THAT’S LEVI-STRAUSS AND BOURDIEU. It’s a nightmare made of never-ending sentences that creates a pressing need to kill yourself and the author after two pages and I will forever carry rage in my heart for them

Dark Horse - Amanda Marshall

Nineteen-year-old Anakin Skywalker has spent his whole life in the same dusty Albertan town in the badlands, working in his mother’s automotive shop and racing his motorcycle along the backroads with nothing but the wide open sky overhead. Strangers come and go through their town on their way to Dinosaur Provincial Park and Drumheller, having usually made a wrong turn or broken down. That is until, on a uncommonly hot November day, a stranger comes to stay on the winds of a chinook and changes Anakin’s life.

Modern AU set in Canada (because I need one aggressively Canadian AU per fandom). One part bildungsroman one part romance featuring young mechanic Anakin and paleontologist Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan moves to the small (fictional) town of Abeline for the open space and illusion of wilderness it offers but also it’s proximity to Drumheller and the Royal Tyrrell Museum where he’s become recently employed, not minding the early morning rides through the badland landscape. When he accidentally cracks the frame of his BMW he takes it in to Skywalker Automotive and meets the resident mechanical genius and motorcycle enthusist, Anakin. Sparks fly as they trade witty banter and before long they’re getting on like a house on fire and a fast friendship is formed.

Whenever they get the chance they’re off on their bikes, racing along the roads and into the Provincial Park to hike and camp under there desert skies where Anakin’s love of astronomy shines the brightest and Obi-Wan shares his own knowledge of geology and paleontology.

And that fast friendship quickly becomes something more as mutual attractions flare and Anakin’s youthful desire for more than he has ever had comes into play. And Obi-Wan is helpless in the face of this brilliant young man, already wrapped around his finger. Their sixteen-year age difference and, for a select few, sexuality becomes the talk of the town. They don’t care though, they’re in love and for once in his life Anakin Skywalker doesn’t regret staying in his hometown.

so i googled ‘do cats know what love is’ and i stumbled across an article with this phrase: If he naps on you at any point, then that's the best indicator that he knows you care for him. He trusts you at his most vulnerable, which means he feels secure when he's with you. That is love. and you bet i immediately thought of your catboy au!! honestly how happy would obi-wan be when anakin finally falls asleep on him?? <3

Trusting someone when you’re at your most vulnerable is love, and that’s why it’s such a special thing that Anakin ran to Obi-Wan in his time of need.

Anakin definitely has some trust issues. He’s had a rough few years, and he’s not used to kindness like Obi-Wan’s shown him. There’s always a catch. It takes lots of those selfless, earnest gestures for Anakin to realize that there’s no catch with Obi-Wan.

But when he does, it’s such a wonderful moment. Poor Obi would end up stuck on the couch for hours, his leg falling asleep, not wanting to disturb this delicate moment where Anakin has finally relaxed around him. But it’s not so bad... reaching down, stroking his ears as his nose twitches in his sleep... both of them safe, warm, and together.

Ooh evil, evil. Well, mostly it depends on how I write him.

In my angstpril AU it’s definitely mostly insecurity. Being unsure if you fit it, trying to get better not necessarily for yourself but others. Being nervous and terrified of being in a new place/situation even though you’re aware it’s probably for the best.

Aka, I’m moving out May 3rd so I suppose it makes sense to toss all I’m feeling about that into a story following me during that process.

If he’s not raised as a Sith, my utter need to micromanage and be in control of my own space (and others). I started my discord server because I couldn’t deal with the way other servers were arranged. I tend to be arrogant and think I’m the best for a job, and only I can do it, that I make the right decisions. That’s also all tossed at Sith Obi-Wan.

Give me a character and I tell you what I project on them!

Hi ohmygod I am super excited about your project hnfnd I'm sorry I'm not very up to date but I was wondering if you were gonna release sort of a dictionary too? I know that's a lot of work! I'm just 100% soft for everything padawan and dying to know what words it will be for braid/braiding/etc

We’re glad you’re so excited about it, as are we! And we’re also super happy you’re helping us out!

So, for everybody: Yes, we’re working on a dictionary! It will look a little like this:

So you will get how the word is spelled in basic, then the IPA, then up to four meanings that word may have and finally an explanation on how it’s used/what the historical development of the word was.

Additionally, there will also be a guide to phonetics, tenses, word order, basic grammar and so on! We intend for this document to be cohesive enough that everybody can use it and, ideally, not even need to ask us for translations - though we are, of course, always delighted to listen to you guys!

And YES we are going to have different words for a regular brain and a padawan braid!! We just haven’t actually made those words yet.
