So I'm rewatching S2 part 2, and I was struck with an idea when Nya talked about how Jay shattered his goodness and how there might not be anything that can fix it.
WHAT IF... the thing that heals shattered goodnesses is the healing elixir in the Spectral Lands?
Think about it.
We know that the elixir provides healing to the living. Could it perhaps provide healing of goodness itself? Maybe it can metaphorically fuse a shattered goodness together?
We also know that the elixir is made of soul energy, and seeing that it allows souls to move on to whatever phase is next, it is rather powerful- especially if we consider the fact that one little bottle of it defeated an entire dragon.
True, we don't really know what part of 'healing' the elixir takes care of - whether it's just physical or if it can also heal something that is metaphorically there, but I think it's safe to assume that it does seeing that well, it takes care of souls, so why not even goodness?
The only flaw I can think of is that goodness is a moral quality. Like, can the elixir heal something in the context of morality? Idk.
But maybe that could be another idea and something to come around.
Maybe the elixir heals goodness metaphorically in the sense that Jay loses his ability to perform Shatterspin. Like it kinda restarts the whole thing, and even if Jay activated it with the gong, then he would have to completely restart training to simply relearn how to.
And that's all it does. Seeing that goodness is moral (and is no longer metaphorically shattered), Jay would have a clean slate to decide whether or not he wants to be good or evil.
And maybe that's what the elixir could do. Apart from healing, it could also help someone restart and try again. Help them take the first step in their journey of self-discovery.
That's also healing in a way...
