The full moon glowed brightly in the night sky, hanging high above the Earth. Jake smiled to himself as he gazed upon it from a rooftop. His joints then reminded him to stretch, so he did, popping all the little air pockets in-between his bones as he prepared for tonight's mission.
"Givin' me an easy job tonight, eh, Khonshu? I appreciate it. But... Ya know me, I love a good fight. Sorry in advance if it gets messy, heheh. Not that ya mind it." The man's concealed face brightened with a chuckle. He then pulled the white hood of his suit over his head and leaped to the next roof, his cape flowing in the cool air behind him.
Soon enough, Jake reached his destination: the top of a place called the Sanctum Sanctorum. It's lime green roof appeared as an emerald green in the night, its windows reflecting the moonlight and stars beautifully. His gaze instinctively fixed on the largest window. "That'll do." He muttered, taking out a small lock-picking kit from his pockets.
The knight hummed a tune under his breath as he undid the lock. Jake then landed inside, a small, barely noticeable 'thump' echoing through the room. His glowing eyes scanned the room, but what he was looking for was nowhere in sight. A small grumble rose from his throat. He then continued his search down the stairs, barely trying to keep himself unnoticed in the building full to the brim with books and magical items.
That's when he spotted it: a golden necklace with an hourglass attached to it. "Bingo." Jake grinned and rushed forward, snatching the lost artifact from its jewelry stand. Though.. A pang of boredom struck him as he ascended the staircase again. No fights tonight, huh? Ah, well. At least I'll get more sleep.
But it seemed like he thought too soon as he spotted a figure out of the corner of his eye. The vigilante spun on his heel to face them, recognizing the person shrouded in darkness as the owner of the building. Lucky me, he remarked internally.
