“You are.” He replied flatly, a teasing smile on his lips. She was cute like this, though Shawn would never admit that for fear of being punched. “It’s been a while, I just figured we could wait on catching up till we get to your place.” Shawn had finally made the move to Japan to get a job, and coincidentally had found work in the same section of Tokyo as Lena had. They even lived in the same building!

 "Shut up Shawn." Fists dug their way into her coat pocket as she scowled. She had made few friends in her new location, so hearing that Shawn was coming over as well had made the whole thing seem a lot less intimidating. She had been planning on going underground for awhile. So when one of her friends had given her an out she had run with it.

“I don’t have a problem.” Shawn huffed, despite body language that communicated otherwise. He didn’t like this Brett or whatever his goddamn name was, he was getting far too friendly with Lena. But at the same time, Shawn knew he had no right to feel this way. He’d not confessed to Lena, they had never even been on a date. His jealously was unwarranted, but the youth couldn’t help but feel scared. What if she fell in love with Brett and not himself?

 "You're so full of shit!" She couldn't help but laugh as she tugged Shawn off the bar stool and towards the dance floor. "Come onn," arms were thrown onto her friends waist, and one finger hooked into his belt loop so they couldn't be tugged apart. She may have had a few too many drinks compared to him.

                                          Clementine had finally found the new job. Sure, it was going to suck, but she didn’t really have to be around people and it was going to be at night! It was a cleaning job at a hotel, and she was on night shift. She’d be cleaning empty rooms, hallways, bathrooms… whatever really needed to be cleaned. It wasn’t exactly her dream job, but she needed money, and she needed it to be at night, so it was good enough for her.

It was her first day there, and she was a little nervous. Hopefully her coworkers weren’t assholes, or nosy, or some other annoying trait that people tended to be. She just wanted to keep to herself, do her job, and get a paycheck. That’s all. She wasn’t interested in friends or gossiping. Just money. Just her job.

She pushed through the doors of the hotel, and headed for the employee work room. That was where she had been told to go, so she could pick up her uniform. She figured that she would have to receive some training as well, but that would probably only be with one other person, so it wasn’t too much of a worry. She stepped into the employee lounge and laid her bag down on the nearest table. It was… empty. She figured the manager would be there at least… where were they?

"If you don’t stop patting my head..My fist is going between your LEGS!”

Mei-Rin’s eyes widened as she heard those words. Had that young man been talking to someone else. She would have never touch a stranger. Never. And she had definitely not been patting his head.

“I haven’t even once touched you,” she mumbled, a bit annoyed, a bit scared.

He stirred slightly at the sound of the door, his subconscious knowing it was Lena. He’d loved their vacation together and was looking forward to their outing tonight, taking a nap to try and get rested for the evening. Unfortunately, he’d overslept by two hours. 

Lena didn't mind so much. They had been going for days. Hiking, exploring, just all around goofing off. It was tiring! So finding out that he had fallen asleep didn't really surprise her. In fact, it almost made her want to join him. 

She went to deposit her things and then perched herself in the little space that was left between Shawns legs and the couch. A hand extended out to snag the small blanket that was hanging off the couch and tried to spread it between Shawn and herself.

Roomies-Closed Starter

Deanna breathed in the city air, it smelt nothing like the air in Lawrence, Kansas. The town in which she grew up in always smelt like nature and home. The city smelt like gasoline, smog, and street hot dogs. None the less she had fought with her dad to be on her own, so here she was. Her mother had died in a house fire when she was just a child. As a result she was tough and rugged on the edges. Her father had always been....hard on her growing up. The thought made her shiver. It only got worse once her younger brother moved away to Stanford to attend law school. He was gone and she didn’t have to protect anyone anymore. So here she was. She could still feel a bruise on her right shoulder blade, but she did her best to ignore it. She pays the cabby with what little money she had managed to make waitressing back home. Tomorrow she’d go out and try to find a good bar, maybe apply for a job pouring drinks. Her father drank her whole life, she was good at bringing people booze and cleaning up after drunks. 

Deanna shoulders her duffel bag and drags her suitcase walking into the apartment building. She fishes keys out of her pocket, taking the elevator to the fourth floor. She finds her room, unlocking the door and dragging her belongings in. She leaves her bags in the corner runs her fingers through her blonde hair. She takes off her leather jacket, slinging it over the back of the couch. She drops her key on the table and walks around in search of a bedroom.

Lena watched the crowd curiously as they all danced. She had had to show face at a party, and hadn't wanted to leave Shawn behind. He ought to have more fun anyhow, right? 

Even if he had disappeared on her... 

The thought had her lips twist and steal a drink for herself. Shawn could take care of himself, and when she had caught sight of him with a girl, it had her almost laughing. He was on his own there. Maybe.. probably... so long as she played nice.
