Just because I'm bored. I'd like to yap But about my Takes on the Doughboys, and my decisions for Sunshine Doey.
Yes, Please do ask me if you have any questions!
To start it off, Let's start with Jack.
Jack is an absolute sweetheart, of course... however, due to his Accident he's no longer capable of understanding others feelings. The trauma from falling into the vat and getting crushed messed his brain up, and additionally, them bringing him back did as well. He will understand what hurt is, why someone is dying, hurt or upset, he just can't understand the full extent of it. He is just a little Apathetic. Jack is a Sweetheart because it's natural to him..he remembers being taught to be well mannered by Susan, and he is very aware of what happened, but still does his best to be the same Jack his mom knew. He is Yellow, because he is a ray of Sunshine in the pit of hell, even if he himself isn't perfect. He helps bring hope! His friends, he holds dearly. His family even more so. Matthew helps him learn a lot. Jack is the hunter, since he'd have no guilt in hunting like Kevin or Matt would, though, Kevin needs to lend Jack his strength temporarily. He doesn't know Pepper, but is going to trust Kevin and Matt with this.
Now on to Matthew.
Matthew is the oldest, and The one trying to take Responsibility. All of it. He's always Tired...always seeming like he just wants to go to bed, but knowing if he does he'll just want to go back shortly after. Constantly stressing himself. he never got to go on a First date and this tolls on him, believing he is unlovable, adding to his trauma from losing his parents..he doesn't think they would still love him due to the accident that landed him in Playcare. Constantly trying to be what he's told to be...and not necessarily himself. He's masking. He is Orange because of his Maturity, problem solving skills and keeping himself calm. Which, this color has seemed like a 'Mature' one for me, as I have it associated with the Oranges, the fruit, it can be sweet, but it can also be sour or bitter. And with Matthew, He's Specifically angry with Pepper, just in a far more collected and calm way than Kevin. He'd rather do the more logical. He's Orange.
And now Finally. Kevin.
Kevin is Red. Yes yes I hear it now. But let me explain. Red is not inherently a n ANGRY color, like no shit, yeah Kevin is Angry, but that's not why he's red. He's Red because Red is also associated with Love...care.
Being Gentle and sympathetic. Kevin is Angry ****BECAUSE HE CARES****. HES acting out because it's all he knows, but he's channeling it to protect those he cares about he loves his brothers and he loves his friends. He'd do anything for Jack. But he is not going to just do something Willy nilly or just because...Matt has taught him a lot.and helped him learn to keep himself under control, and it stuck. Kevin is Red because he doesn't know what it's like to be Loved, but he wants to be, and has so must of it to give..which is why he gives it to Safe Haven. The closest thing hes know to "Home." Kevin grows the Spines on Sunshine and himself, because he wants to be sure he can defend those he cares about, even if he can't immediately spot the threat. He's doing everything in his power to help keep Safe haven safe.... because he loves his Home, his friends and brothers. Kevin *Is Red*.
Kevin is Angry at Pepper because he got attached to her...he *Wished* she was his mom. And she disappeared. He felt like he'd been Abandoned again...and then like he'd been Betrayed..
