Yoko: *thinks* "why is Enid crying even harder now? The Nurse said Wednesday is going to be alright. Shouldn't she be relieved? I guess she's been through a lot"

Yoko to the school nurse: "I think it's best if I take her to her dorm for some rest"

School nurse: "That is a good idea. Let her rest. She must be exhausted"

“Oh — hey.” Maia startled, swallowing down the sting of hurt she felt at seeing Chris there as she returned to behind the bar. She'd really been hoping he wouldn't show up, that he'd just signed up long before they'd met, when the call first went out. But she'd been wrong, and stupid to have thought otherwise. Men were all the same. “Thought I saw your name on the sign-up sheet.” Uncomfortable now, she looked away, watching as the various singles began to file in. "It's gonna get really busy soon. Can I get you something?"

Yams always scavenges my breakfast plate, trying to steal a sandwich or lick the plate once it’s empty. I got sick of it so I started having a clementine in addition to my normal breakfast.

You should see her FACE when the plate is covered in citrus peels instead of breadcrumbs and melted butter.

My dearest friend @aspiring-internist‘s aunt (khala) passed away yesterday. I request y’all to please remember her in your duaas. Ya Allah forgive her sins and give her a place in the highest levels of jannah. Ya Rabb, also give sabr to her loved ones and make it easy for them to deal with the loss. (amen)
