Dua for Jumua'a tul Vida
Sayyid Ibn Tawus and Shaykh al-Saduq have both narrated the following on the authority of Jabir ibn `Abdullah al-Ansariy: I visited the Messenger of Allah (a.s) on the last Friday of Ramadan. As he saw me, he said, “Jabir: This is the last Friday of Ramadan. You should thus bid it farewell by saying the following:
اللّهُمّ لا تَجْعَلهُ آخِرَ العَهْدِ مِنْ صِيَامِنَا إِيَّاهُ (allahumma la taj`alhu akhira al`ahdi min siyamina iyyahu) “O Allah: (please) do not make it the last of our fasting in this month;” فَإِنْ جَعَلْتَهُ فَاجْعَلْنِي مَرْحُوماً وَلا تَجْعَلْنِي مَحْرُوما.
(fa-in ja`altahu faj`alny marhuman wa la taj`alny mahruman) “But if you decide so, then (please) make me enjoy (Your) mercy and do not make me deprived (of it)”.
Dua'a for Layla tul Qadr
Aisha bint Al-Siddiq [RA] asked, “what if I knew which night Laylatul Qadr was, then what should I say in it?” Prophet [saw] said, “Say:
O Allah, You are all forgiving, and you love to forgive therefore forgive me. [Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah]
Dasht-e-Tanhai By Faiz Ahmed Faiz
Dasht-e-tanhaai mein, ai jaan-e-jahaan, larzaan hain teri avaaz ke saaye, tere honthon ke saraab In the desert of my solitude, the shadows of your voice, oh love of my life, quiver the mirage of your lips
dasht-e-tanhaai mein, duri ke khas-o-khaak tale khil rahe hain tere pehlu ke saman aur gulaab In the desert of my solitude, beneath the dust and ashes of distance bloom the jasmines and roses of your proximity
uht rahi hai kahin qurbat se teri saans ki aanch apani khushbuu mein sulagti hui maddham maddham From somewhere very close, rises the warmth of your breath smouldering in its own aroma, slowly, bit by bit.
dur ufaq par chamakati hui qatra qatra gir rahi hai teri dil daar nazar ki shabnam far away, across the horizon, glistens drop by drop the falling dew of your beguiling glance
is qadar pyaar se hai jaan-e jahaan rakkhaa hai dil ke rukhsaar pe is vaqt teri yaad ne haath With such tenderness, O love of my life, on the cheek of my heart, has your memory placed its hand right now
yun guman hota hai garche hai abhi subah-e-firaaq dhal gaya hijr ka din aa bhi gaye vasl ki raat that it looks as if (though it’s still the dawn of adieu) the sun of separation has set and the night of union has arrived.
Tu jo mil jaye to taqdeer nigoon ho jaye Yun na tha, mainay faqat chaha tha yun ho jaye…
Jo khile hue haiñ ravish ravish, vo hazār husn-e-chaman sahī Magar un guloñ kā javāb kyā jo qadam qadam pe kuchal gae…

Naya Saal
by Faiz Ahmed Faiz
Ae naye saal bataa tujh mein nayaa kya hai? Har taraf khalq ne kyon shor machaa rakhkhaa hai? Roshni din ki wohi, Taaron bhari raat wohi Aaj tumko nazar aati hai har baat wohi Aasmaan badla hai na badli hai afsurdaa zameen Ek hindse ka badalnaa koi jiddat to nahi Pichle barson ki trarah honge qareene tere Kise maloom nahin 12 mahine tere Besabab dete hain kyon log mubaarakbaadein? Sab kya bhool gaye waqt ki kadwi yaadein? Tu nayaa hai to dikhaa subah nayi, shaam nayi Warna in aankhon ne dekhe hai naye saal kahin
once the beloved is gone, their presence is felt everywhere , Their memory, their essence, their absence—fills every space.
It's a beautiful paradox: the beloved is absent, yet omnipresent.
“ mujh ko maloom na thy hijr ke ye ramz , ke tu jab mere paas na hoga toh har suu hoga ”
مجھکو معلوم نہ تھے ہِجر کے یہ رمز
کہ تُو میرے پاس نہ ہوگا تو ہر سُو ہوگا
what is shukr but receptivity. receptivity to the endless blessings of Allah (swt) that surround you with every breath. receptivity to the ease that comes with every challenge, the comfort that comes with every grief.
what is sabr but acceptance. acceptance of divine decree, of your own lack of power in front of the All Powerful, of your own lack of knowledge and wisdom in front of the All Knowing, All Wise.
what is tawakkul but hope. hope against all odds, hope for the best outcome, hope for compensation, hope for relief, hope for the kind of rizq that satisfies you beyond anything you can imagine at present.

It was a strange moment when the lesson of Love was learnt; as if the book of intellect was helpless in enlightening us -Siraaj ad-din Siraaj
Teri qurbat ke lamhe phoolon jaise
Aur phoolon ki umrein mukhtasar
Love and fidelity are gone, what would you do with your noose now? Those who took pride in the crime of love, all those sinners have gone away. -Faiz
I felt like recording some Faiz tonight…
"Allahumma yassir wala tu'assir. Rabbi tammim bi'khair."
Ya Allah, make it easy and do not make it difficult. Ya Allah make it end well.
How are you N ?
Well currently this is what’s getting me through the day …
