for her birthday, a courier delivered a handwritten letter and a dark wooden box containing a small, blue sapphire resting on black velvet. he remembered that she had a fondness for (special) stones & hoped she would like it.

Ziva’s Birthday (Mun is late edition)

It was fancy. From the box, to the letter, to the contents. The entire presentation of it dripped in a quiet wealth that Ziva only saw in back office political deals that representatives hoped she didn’t notice. But it didn’t raise her hackles. The paper was a thick cardstock, the ink was rich in color and his handwriting was neat and purposeful. The box was artfully stained and she was sure if she smelt it (which she hadn’t yet) it would have that lovely scent that came with finely lacquered wood. The deep blue stone set in velvet made her giggle a little nervously. “Oh, that’s beautiful.”

She delicately picked it up and turned it over, raising it up so she could see it catch the light. Lovely. She set it back in the box and tucked the letter into her pocket, taking both with her to the studio. She wanted to paint it. | @deceptivemorals

A smile graces her features as she reads the letter. She was glad to see the human child made it back safe to their mother. And now she knew their name.

Her gaze slides to the bracelet attached. She picks it up, slowly sliding it onto her wrist. How generous of them! Oh yes, Frisk was definitely getting an invitation next year, and another for their mom as well. Wouldn't want her to worry again.

@hesperid whispered: a pretty polka-dot mini orchid for Ramona from Thyrra.

the white with purple stains upon the orchid’s leaves remind her of raspberry cheesecake, & it is for that simple reason ramona finds the plant so very beautiful. ramona’s green thumb isn’t quite the best, but that does not mean she is unwilling to take care of a plant & treat it like her own child. maybe she’ll even name the orchid though she knows she’ll regret it once she finds herself attached to the sweet thing.

“are these expensive?” ramona gasps, she doesn’t have a single clue about plants, but she is willing to learn. “I mean, the bigger orchids are probably super expensive, right? you’re way too sweet, thyrra! getting me something so adorable like this — you’re such a sweetheart!” she, of course, thanks her friend & roommate with a tight embrace.
