I used to use Google docs, but the white mode only was really annoying me (tires my eyes), so I swapped to Ellipsus (which I genuinely love and recommend), but it was bothering me a bit that I need wifi in order to use it, so now I switched to LibreOffice Writer, which I do like.
It very much has a Microsoft Word feel, but is open source and you need no accounts to use it. It's local on your device, so no AI can scan it, and no wifi is needed.
I still wish it had the Google Docs cards, because, bitch, that thing is so good for easy organizing.

Reblogging because I keep saying “it’s fine I don’t mind [normative set of pronouns]” to people from my country -that doesn’t have a singular they-, because I don’t want to feel like a burden, but after that I feel terrible. It happens with my name as well. If the rare people I’m out to would use she/him pronouns I actually would be fine with it, but they only use the one they’re used to refer me as and I hate that I’m not confident enough to correct them. I can’t even ask my closest irl friend to have my contact in her phone be my chosen name

Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.
I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'
