#I just realized I haven't really told you about my trip to London #I bought my first original piece of art at the arts and crafts market #I wasn't planning on it #I especially wasn't planning on buying something so 'expensive'#but this lady's paintings had me in a spell #great colors #lovely textures #a bit abstract #and a couple of them especially spoke to me #I kept coming back to her stall #over and over #and she was super friendly and helpful #and I left with a small painting that I absolutely love #it tells a story about chasing the moon and realizing you'll never reach it but that's okay; being this close is close enough #but one should still never stop trying anyway #I loved the painting before I heard the story but I can relate to the story in some ways so that made it even more special for me #it's mostly teal with flowery accents in pink and purple as well as some gold paint; glass beads and the slightest hint of glitter #I was also interested in a couple other paintings; mostly those with ballet as their theme #she noticed #when she packed my painting and certificate she included a small gift #when I opened it later at the hostel #I realized the gift was 3 cards with prints of her drawings #all three of them ballet themed #knowing me you know I immediately teared up #it was just such a lovely thing to do #I realize she probably gives everyone a little gift with their paintings #but it was definitely special that she chose the ballet ones for me #I'll have to email her to thank her #personal #maybe tomorrow I'll have time to upload a couple photos and tell you what else I did in London

now i feel better.
