I’m opening my blog to be public so don’t bite me 😅 this question is for my female followers that have curly hair! What diffuser do ya’ll use ? What products did you start using to “train your curls “? I’m using a mixture of Shea moisture detangler, the Fructis mousse & hair- spray and the Shea Moisture curling cream 🥹 usually my hair and curls can last up to two days without washing and keep its curl pattern but I’m trying my best to go on this natural healthy journey and not straighten it, and my hair has gotten super long. Also my daughters hair is super curly and I wish I could figure out what type it is but her curls will NOT go down at all when I leave it loose, they just go up like Richard Simmons hair 🥹😅

I'm pissed af that the hair product I use for my son got discontinued. Now I have to go on a product testing spree again to find something that is the right weight for his hair that will keep it sleek and moisturized without too much build up or being weighed down.

I'm mad at you Shea Moisture. The conditioning milk spray was the perfect product. My kid is 4. It's already hard enough to get him to stand still long enough to do his hair. No it's taking longer to do and it's not as nice.

There is an app called Think Dirty that can tell you if your product is toxic, unhealthy, and just plain dirty. You can look up these products yourself to check. If a product is in the red, then it is EXTREMELY toxic to use.

If you’re like me and have been trying to go the natural route with your hair, then these are probably some the products that you have used. I have used most of these and specifically Maui Moisture for the better part of a year and was very confused as to why my curls were falling and why I was experiencing breakage and I thought I was just doing something wrong or that my hair was just becoming wavy. After the Devacurl scandal I was very anxious to see if the products I was using had any toxins and I have to say I am very angry that products that were supposed to be high quality turned out to be toxic.

To put into perspective the damage these products caused, here is a picture of when I was using Shea Moisture back in May 2019 vs Maui Moisture in February 2020. Both pictures are of first day hair and the same exact routine.

My apologies for the low quality, but it is very obvious of the change here.

The damage is practically irreversible because this is straight up chemical damage. It’s almost as bad as bleaching your hair constantly.

PLEASE just use Shea Moisture

I wanted to try something different, so I’ve strayed away from Shea Moisture, which I am regretful for considering it worked so well. Shea Moisture is the only brand that has stayed consistent in quality and is the safest drug store brand to purchase.

I am so sorry to anyone who was taking their curly hair journey seriously and put all of their trust into these products, believing that they would be high quality.
