I don’t know if it’s the entirely correct and classic way, but we used a recipe my roomie @tsubaki94 got from her mum. It worked well, though, and tasted really nice! I’ll give you the recipe if you wanna try. :3
Basically, you heat up 4 liters of water, and once it’s boiling you turn off the stove and mix in about 700 grams (a large jar) worth of honey. Add a bit of sugar too, if you wanna. We then poured it in a bucket to cool and added zest from a whole lemon, as well “meat chunks” from that same lemon (just make sure to remove the white stringy part inbetween).Once the mixture’s reached 37 degrees celsius (if you’re a fahrenheit kinda person, use a translator lol) you add dry yeast and half a liter of beer (we used alcohol free beer since I don’t drink) and stir it a bit.
Put some cling wrap over the bucket and let it stand overnight in a dark and cool place! You should keep it cooled down and since this recipe makes A LOT, make sure not to leave it around for super long. The expiration date is kinda short.
