The Creatures in The Dark
Beneath the moon
The caged bird sings
And crow begins to caw
The owl will hoot into the dark
Of the gaping shadows maw
Beneath the moon
The witches dance
And chant their hymns and spells
They sacrifice the young man's blood
And attempt to call for hell
Beneath the moon
The cats will hiss
And so the snakes will too
The moles will run but not for fun
And maybe so will you
Beneath the moon
A werewolf sits
And ghosts begin to scream
The dryad cries and tries to hide
Within the broken beams
Beneath the moon
In blanket forts
And tents all drawn inside
You listen for the sounds and calls
Of the night in for a ride
Beneath the moon
Beneath the sun
And in the inbetween
We dance amongst the dawn and dusk
And make sure we’re never seen
