Since it's Thinking-About-Oscar hours, I just want to say that I think Oscar's dilemma about losing himself is a little naive. Even if he coughed Ozpin up like a wad of phlegm tomorrow, Oscar would still be irrevocably changed!

There is no real delineation between personality changes as a result of merging with Ozma and personality changes as a result of, uh...all the insane shit Oscar has seen in the last five seasons.

I like to think that one of the ideas underpinning Oscar's character is that we can control our reactions and behaviors all we want, but when life-changing events are dropped on you from out of a clear blue sky you simply cannot stay the same.
