Since 'Knitwear Club' is going so well, I've decided to ease into development work for 'Sheer Vale' by reading more books around the genre/topics.

I'm definitely not working on Sheer Vale besides reading work, but I'm currently looking into architecture the city might have -- especially around (lack of) space, density, and function over form. Happy to take any recommendations of avenues to explore!

I know you said Sheer Vale is in its infancy, but it sounds so interesting!

Basically, it's based on the idea of my hometown (which is infamously hilly) being the opposite, which resulted in a lot of musing about why it would be a crater, what would have to happen, and why a city would be rebuilt in such an unstable structure.

The story itself is a cosmic horror interpretation of vampires, so there is literal cannibalism going on, but it also explores cannibalism as an allegory for end-stage capitalism, abuse and exploitation, and generative AI.

I'm currently pausing this project while I work on redrafting 'Knitwear Club', after which I'll delve into the skeleton of the story I have so far and build it up. :3
