I included a pattern inside the reindeer and I did this by redrawing a snowflake illustration and then placing it inside the reindeer and using a clipping mask to make it. I then experimented with different colours but the design that stood out the most to me was using two different shades of red with a white background. I repeated the reindeer on A2 and printed it out and wrapped it around a empty box.

Idea generation for the Urban Outfitter’s sheet zine brief. I knew I wanted to have a repetitive pattern for this brief and the design that stuck out the most was the reindeer. I felt by having baubles, christmas trees and snowmen was the obvious route and others would do that so I chose to go with reindeers.

Negotiated study brief 2

Aim

Submitting work to Urban Outfitters  for their SHEET zine. This would benefit me because it’ll be another  publication I could experiment with and if selected my work would be in the zine,  which would be distributed all over the UK.

 Skills & Resources

New skills and resources  required would be good researching skills especially previous issues of SHEET  zine. Also different ways to execute what I want to submit for example  exploring photography, illustration, print etc. Attend print and photography  workshops.

 Research & References

My main research will be based  on zines and different ways I could produce my final image. I would need to  research into a variety of different photography and printing techniques and  find practioners who work in that style.

Deliverables

A variety of different images that could be possible finals and one or  two finals, which will be submitted to the zine.

 Time Management

Time management will be a big  factor in how successful this project will be because the deadline and  submission date is the 22nd October 2015. . I would have to be on  top of my work on a weekly basis and can’t really afford to fall behind.

Week 1 - Research
