He pries her mouth open trying to get it back, much the same way someone would do with a pet if they saw it eating something bad.
zombie apocalypse au !
Honestly would this just be the Harrowing coming to Ionia or are zombie apocalypse stuff based on a modern verse...
We’ll do a bit of both.
Ionia is probably a place the Shadow Isles does not like. Lots of latent magic in the earth does a number on the undead, making it hard for them to really get a foothold. But in the event specters make it on land, Irelia is definitely someone that they would take interest in, because she’s already ‘died’ once.
The undead in turn unsettle Irelia. She realizes that if something didn’t go right, if Soraka had come to her aid just a few seconds too late, she might end up like one of them, with her allegiance to Ionia gone and replaced with just a nihilistic duty to spread the Black Mist, or whatever it is they do on the Shadow Isles. Because of this, Irelia does her best to avoid interaction with them, and stick to just exterminating them.
How would Ionians even go about getting rid of the undead? Normal weapons probably don’t harm them effectively, but using magic (especially fire) would be good to deal with them. Magical swords, like Irelia’s, would also be able to wound them. I can see her surrounding herself with magic users, and keeping her own swords even closer to her person, always paranoid about the possibility of the undead falling upon her.
In a modern zombie apocalypse, Irelia probably takes a sword from her father’s dojo as a way to defend herself. She tries to look for friends and family, seeing that there’s strength in numbers, and wants to stick together so that they can’t get overwhelmed by the masses.
A naturally selfless person, she’d put others before herself. She’d be the type to send people ahead while she tries to fight zombies off in front of a corridor or a stairway. When it comes to dividing rations, she’d only take the minimum for herself, and let others have more especially if they look like they’re shaken up and could use help to get through high-pressure situations like these.

he didn’t truly understand why the fox was so keen on trying to help the virtuoso, even in such simple tasks. fatigue had claimed the man while he was humoring her little endeavors with the flowers she had plucked and were assorting on her own. while he wouldn’t have minded in helping her and telling her the name of the flowers she did not know, the virtuoso was terribly tired and needed to lay down at the very least. so he mumbles to her, ( i must go rest, dear. i’ll return soon. ) but the sound that left her was a gentle sound of confusion and perhaps a bit of disappointment in his departure.
when he had sat that the edge of his bed and removed the prosthetic arm, back to the door of his room, there was a soft weight of fabric drapes over his shoulders and he already knew the culprit, crimson eyes looking over. he sees ahri, how she seems to be silent about her actions and jhin could only stare at her before speaking.
‘ were you behind me the whole time ? ‘
either way, he didn’t understand why she continued to act this way but it would only be rude to mistreat her when he knew she only meant well. so, in the end, there’s a gentle sigh that leaves the male and he raises a hand to allow digits to ever so gently flick a lock of soft hair over her shoulder.
‘ dear, i’m fine, simply fatigued is all. ‘
( lay down then ) she replies simply and it didn’t take long for him to do so; not because she says so, but slumber was calling to him quickly. khada jhin, once again mumbles, ( you should return to your flowers. they will wither quickly. ) but what takes him by confusion is the fact she remains there and readily begins to fix the blankets she had draped over his shoulders moments prior. why was she.... ? ( sleep well. ) she sweetly says before he can even comment about her actions, only left to allow crimson eye follow the soft glide she takes towards the entrance to his bedroom.
one last peek from her is given and subtly, his door is closed behind her.

leans against him quietly.
The steady rain seemed to only increase in intensity. But as they sat and waited against the rain only a few onlookers kept a suspicious eye on them. One, a rather sweet, and young woman next to a man who might have wore his sins on his very being. Face scarred, his suit as well had nearly been reminiscent of typical gang fashion. Loose as it was, he'd kept his hands resting on his knees.
Brief however, the soft weight against his shoulder might have been telling. She'd not voice her impatience, no. Nor would she say the rain would ruin her hair, not that she likely minded. But even then such discomforts had been something even he wouldn't allow let alone straying too long in the rain.
"Come on then." Rising, he'd removed his jacket. The heavy material had been ideal even as he adjusted it. Knowing she wore her own, it still wouldn't keep her from the rain.
"It's just a few blocks, I'll be your umbrella, shorty." Smirking, the jacket was held just above her head easily keeping her from the rain. What had been previously suspicious onlookers had soon been relieved at the endearing sight. Even as the pair began making their way he made certain not a drop of water hit her.
