Okay so theres an AU some might be familiar with that I wish I had more motivation to finish, but ngl with how my fixations are fluctuating, theres an extremely low chance itll be done 🥲
SO Ive got some new dootles and Imma lowk explain the AU in its entirety so YAAAAY
So the AU is called Abandoned Wreckage, which centers around Flint finding a strange Shelbourne robot (From the episode The Boy Who Cried Robot) at his local dump and taking it in for scrap, only to grow curious as he finds out it was a scrapped prototype with numerous features..
So my design for the Shelbot was to push the creepiness as well as making it have more practicality in its features.
Its legs can extend similar to its arms, that way it can appear taller when standing behind a podium without the need of a box
Its shoes have wheels at the end for easy travel, especially when shut off
Its eyes have a very small camera in the center of its eyes which can be mistaken for as pupils, meant for scanning faces of individuals
The buttons on his suit are actual pushable buttons, each of them read: I/O (On/Off), REC, TEST, and D.P. (Defense Protocol)
Made it so his hair is metallic and it stores some if not most of the robots functionality
So Flint finds this robot at the dump and it turns on by itself, which obv startles him. He shuts it off and takes it to his lab to scrap its parts, only for it to turn on again as a result of its On/Off button being stuck, so he pops it out and continues his rummage.
The next day, he looks into the bot to find that it has instructions, and that most of them are censored with warnings to not push the D.P. button. He discovers its an advanced prototype that was scrapped for an unknown reason before being replaced with the ones he saw in the episode. Since Flint knows Hector made it, he proceeds to leave it alone and call Sam in.
Flint and Sam then take the bot outside and try the TEST button, which goes through a test/demo mode that makes it do movement and audio tests for confirmation its good to go. As it does, it attempts to do a test of D.P. but it shuts off immediately for safety. They even press D.P. directly and it shuts off for good measure. Flint then takes it in and goes through its code to disable that safety feature, not aware on what it did.
Then, he tries D.P. one more time, now with the safety feature removed, only to realize the robot has a sawblade and a flamethrower, thanks to Hectors insanity when it comes to evaluating what counts as defense or not. This causes the robot to go on a rampage and attack anything it believes is a threat (Which is EVERYTHING)
Eventually, some things happen and two major things occur: 1) The Shelbot loses some of its buttons, which make it impossible to shut off, and 2) many townsfolk, most importantly Flint, Sam, the Shelbournes, and Earl, all try to disarm the bot, with some getting injured in the process.
They manage to damage the bot significantly, but its powered by CRACK and still manages to power on with a broken arm, lack of face, and malfunctioning systems. The fiasco ends at the cannery, where it finally gets ground up by the cannery grinder, putting an end to the crazed robot :3>
