“i can’t bare the thought of my reality” the little puppet says solemnly
WHAT was reality? Was it the mountains that over looked the world. The sun that blessed the skin with warmth. Was it the plants that blew gentle in the wind? And to a a Nobody, those were meaningless, for the reality they perceive, the reality that was, would never be the true reality. They lived, but for what life did they live? All that became of them was merely a reflection of a reflection, a mirror against the water against an even deeper appearance of oneself. Emancipated. Nothing. Nothing.
And that reality shaped not from natural law but the law that was their nothingness. For even if they were not meant to be, not meant to live in reality, that perception of the real reality would be warped to their own ends. Their memories, time, space, the life that flourished all around them, all decayed and stopped to try and wrap its very own minds around themselves. It was nothing in the end. Nothing. Their life, the world they saw through their own eyes, different and wrong on every possible level. Like staring at one’s own dead body, and not perceiving it as your own (just like how when he looked at her, he did not see her for her but another, that was his reality). They were Gods unbound from rules. Gods that only wanted to be human.
It was sick. And Xion’s fears made Marluxia all the more pity her. For he could only imagine her strife, her absolute terror in living a live that was not meant to be lived. Where fate and their leader would control. “It does not need to be your reality.” And he looked out at that sky, where the dandelions in the valley blew gentle in the wind. “But the reality you choose to reject. We are not bound by mortal law, let alone the destiny that would bound us. We are nothing.” Nothing. Nothing. “I was scared like you once. I could not understand this reality, this ‘life’. I spent years searching for something that I could not find, until finally I let myself let myself take hold of my own reality. Deciding for myself, and letting myself go.” Then, he smiled. Turning his gaze away from the dandelions and towards her.
He knelt to Xion, placing a hand over his chest. “Let it come not from the boundless emptiness here, but from the seeds of dandelions.”
