This has been in my wip folder for a LONG time, just struggled finishing it because I felt like something was off that wasn't quite able to completely convey the mood I wanted. Still not sure what should be changed (Values? Colours? Rendering? Composition?) in order to make it look more like how I wanted it to feel. I just know that only the camera angle is right.

But it's been long enough so might as well finish it instead of constantly tweaking and staring at it till it bends to my will

naming the heartless "gerald "

not informing anyone when said heartless stole the aforementioned socks

indignantly rebuking No. 11 for attacking "gerald" threatening to "avenge his (gerald's) death" and hide more socks

calling Axel "judas" on several occasions after the C.O incident

refusing to answer No. 13's questions on anatomy and puberty despite being the Organizations medical officer.

answering No.13's questions on anatomy and puberty in graphic detail.( side note, i had no objections to this, as the talk she gave was age appropriate and interesting. the complaint arose from numbers 2,3,9 and 10 who were made to feel stupid( shepherd maintains it was "not (her) fault they were all dropped on their heads as infants"))

repeatedly asking lord xemnas for "just one conversation that doesn't feel like a hostage situation"

threatening to steal No.11's teeth while he slept.

Duct taping No.9 to the wall because he abandoned his mission with her ( personally i feel this was appropriate.)

Referring to lord xemnas and his heartless as "thing 1 and thing 2" ( The superior wishes me to communicate that he is most definitely "thing 1")

asking for "kingdom hearts to strike (her) dead where (she) stands" at mild inconveniences

referring to numbers 13 and 14 as "precious beans who have never done anything wrong in their lives" and maintaining an overly protective attitude towards them.

leaving cursed or haunted objects around the castle ( i don't think No. 2 will ever quite get over the robbie the rabbit incident)

Bringing Numbers 2 ,9 ,10 to a gay bar in twilight town ( ordinarily i would have no issue with this, but the resultant hangovers severely impacted both our productivity and our aspirin supply )

Losing No.9 at the bar which resulted in him being awol for 2 days ( our productivity actually increased after this. still, it was unacceptable for her to lose an entire human being for 48 hours.)

Allowing her hellbeasts to have free reign of the castle ( personally i appreciate the creatures, as they are housebroken (which is more than i can say for some members) and they keep the shadow population down. however Lord xemnas does not appreciate having his boots chewed or 5ft tall resting behemoths lying on his lap, demanding tithes and head pats)

Referring to No.11 as "that pink thing" "mr Blobby" and "bubble gum boy" as well as many less flattering and more profane names.

using her mimicry abilities to the benefit of no one. (her favorite trick is to copy the voice of myself or Xemnas and announce over the castles PA system that the superior has declared a day off. it is becoming harder and harder to resist the urge to simply play along with that particular charade. its been quite a while since our last real day off.)

this is far from an exhaustive list and while i would prefer to detail all of Shepherds...excentricities, i have other matters to attend to. The incessant giggling coming from No.0's workshop is putting everyone on edge.

I think I should just post it publicly once all the major characters have had their entries written and drawn. I had silly preconceived notions of "professionalism" or whatever since I wanted to make a big webcomic of them but yknow what? It's good to let the world see your wips sometimes

I've never joined a digital art competition. The only art competitions I've joined were when I was in primary school, so during my sem break I decided to just. Go for it. Also as much as I'd like to win $300-700, I *mostly* joined for other reasons

1. Wanted to do a big illustration, but didn't wanna accidentally spend 100 hours on it. Setting a deadline for myself doesn't work well because I know there's no serious consequences if I break my own deadline, so I signed myself up for an actual comp with an actual deadline 

2. It's been a while since I've joined any kind of competition. So like. Eh

3. I've been wanting to do a tutorial!! I really like explaining my process because it's like. Infodumping I'm too intimidated by the editing process to do a YT video and if I don't get enough views I'd feel even more tired from all the work I did, so a typed format is better!

4. Besides the normal illustration, I think the rest of the edited versions would make for a good portfolio addition! I think concept artists and illustrators showcase art of the same setting in different atmospheres to demonstrate their flexibility in working

Now that I’m on semester break till the end of August, I can draw a lot more, and hopefully I can open up commissions!!!

I wanted it to have a morning atmosphere but I'm so used to deep and saturated colours that I was afraid it'll look like evening instead. Because it's like. It's supposed to be early morning, you're sitting at the table having a drink, and Mul is surprised to see you up this early

Also you're a poltergeist victim so you're staying at his place to recover and monitor for symptoms. That's the only way you'll ever set foot in his house because otherwise he'd kick you out <3
