being in owen and amelia’s house was not nearly as awkward as it had been the last time. the dinner that felt like a lifetime ago. it was, almost. instead of meredith, maggie, and trying to make small talk with owen he was back with megan, she actually accepted his proposal thy were moving down to california with farouk. a family that he should have been in for the last decade, before megan got on that chopper. there was no use dwelling on the past as he walked out of the house and into the backyard, eyes catching farouk playing while owen and megan were inside recalling childhood memories. he stopped, standing next to amelia, arms crossed before him. he could only recall talking to her a handful of times and he liked her. “how’s the head?” a question soft as he glanced over at her. “should have asked sooner.” but he could occasionally be a self centered jerk, a thought he chose to keep to himself.
THE KING OF SHITTY DECISIONS ---------- that should be alex karev's code name or something . first , he nearly ruins his career , his entire life , because he couldn't swallow his blind rage and beat the living crap out of deluca . he ruined his relationship , only to find out that the love of his life is married to some piece of shit who used to beat the fuck out of her . then he went and put himself in a position to ruin his entire life again by tracking down said piece of shit in los angeles , california .
and as if his decisions couldn't get any shittier , now he's been sleeping with amelia --------- hunt's wife -------- and god knows how much worse things can possibly get if this gets out . jo already hates him , and he'd more than likely get his ass handed to him by g.i. joe .
on his day off , alex stayed home and in bed throughout most of it , wallowing in how messed up his life got in a matter of months . amelia barging into his room and expecting him to just willingly share his bed like they're a freakin' couple doesn't help his sour mood either . it wasn't supposed to happen -------- alex was drunk the first time : drunk and upset , and lonely -------- HEARTBROKEN . and amelia was feeling the same way ( minus the drunk part ) , and the house was empty for the night , the kids at the daycare in the hospital while mere worked .
AND GOD , SHE REALLY DOES TALK A LOT .
and yet still , there's this attraction he has to her ( hence why this forbidden thing going on between them hasn't come to an end yet ) that he can't seem to shake . yeah , sure , she's hot ------ that much is obvious ------ but there is something about her that's deeper than just what's on the outside . SHE'S FUCKED UP IN THE HEAD / but so is he . they have that much in common . but this …. what they're doing …. it's only going to end badly , which is why he is grumpy right now .
releasing a sharp , heavy sigh ----- alex rolls over onto his back but doesn't look at her , instead his eyes focus on the light fixture above the bed , ❝ i'm really not in the mood , ❞ he says , voice gruff , before finally turning his head to give her his attention , ❝ and you can't just barge into my room like this -------- do you even realize how fucked up this could be if someone finds out about us ? ❞ he's deflecting his emotions ------ something alex does BEST . / @shephcrd ; cont’d

Teddy closed the door to Megan’s room as quietly as she could, the redhead had fallen asleep during one of Teddy’s stories about the current stage of her study. Freeing her phone from her pocket as she headed to the elevators. After about a minute, the doors slid open and she stepped inside and rode down to the main floor. She was so engrossed in the conversation she was having with Riggs that she didn’t notice Amelia until she bumped into her. “Oh, sh-” The blonde froze when she saw who it was. “Sorry.”
❛ Avery’s just being a hard ass. from what i can tell you did a damn miracle today. ❜ his fingers would turn the glass of whisky in his hand, nodding his head toward the woman as they both sat at the bar’s counter. alex had originally went to joe’s by himself needing to clear his head after what warren had told him. he himself even told her that he would never hurt her. would never even dream of it. she believed him, right ?? she had to. he wasn’t like his dad the furthest thing from it as he’d like to think. the last thing he would want was to find out that he was dead wrong. but now he’d look at the shepherd sitting beside him, taking in her demeanor for a moment before tipping his chin toward her as he spoke. ❛ are you sure everything’s okay ?? seems like there’s more to it than that. ❜ // @shephcrd

alex isn’t as CLUELESS as everyone seems to think . he knows when a chick suddenly stops having things to say , and doesn’t make eye contact , and their whole demeanor changes in seconds ——————- it means they’re either PISSED AT YOU , or they got their feelings hurt by something you did or said / in this case , alex can tell he hurt her feelings . it’s been a few months now ————- they’ve bee having this affair for this long and no one knows but them that it’s even happening . alex can tell that for amelia , this is more than just some stupid , meaningless hook - up , and lately alex has been starting to feel the same way .
jo doesn’t want him anymore , and for a while he was just using amelia for sex to get over his pain . IT WAS SELFISH —————– but that’s exactly what he did . and the more he began to realize that jo was moving on , the more he slowly started to do the same , and now it doesn’t hurt as bad seeing her in the halls at the hospital / because he knows he has amelia . he’s become dependent on this now —————– and he’s even started to really like amelia . BUT SHE’S MARRIED . to one of his co - workers . he can’t fall in love with hunt’s freakin’ wife . he can’t .
WHICH IS WHY IT HAS TO END .
but , the other half ( the fucking stupid half ) of his brain doesn’t want his heart to let go of her . HE’S BEEN SO LONELY . he has all this love to give and no one to give it to , and lately the nights with amelia have started to become more than just sex to him . maybe there could be a chance for them ? he only has one condition : that she gets a divorce . ❝ i can’t be around you because ….. you’re married to hunt and i think i might be in love with you . do you see my problem ? ❞ / @shephcrd ; cont’d
