Photography
Photography has always been a passion of mine, ever since I can remember. I remember when I got my first camera, it was a Christmas present from my Dad. It was a Kodak film camera and I loved it! When my step Dad got a digital camera it was a whole new ball game. You mean I can see the picture I just took? Like straight away? Thats freakin awesome! Give me a go at that! I used it anytime I was allowed.
When I was older I got my own and from then on it was a love affair, I hit high school and learned about the history and what an aperature is and an iso, I knew that I wanted to be a photographer, it turned out I wasnt all that bad at it either.
After always taking photos of my friends that they loved and them encouraging me I organized my first paying shoot. It was a family, on a windy beach with a shitty flash for a film camera that I had no idea how to use. Looking back now I cringe.
In the almost 5 years I have been taking on clients and built my business up in the Goulburn Valley I have learned a lot. A lot of lessons were hard learned, but I’ve picked myself up again and brushed myself off.
I love nothing more than taking photos. Of capturing those fleeting moments in time. That giggle from your 3 year old that you wont remember in 10 years, the smile between two smitten lovers. A tear rolling down the face of a mother who’s daughter is getting married. Its those tiny moments that I love.
I walk down the streets and wish I had cameras in my eyes. Especially when I dont have my camera! Whenever I look at a beautiful view I think of the photos I could take. Whenever I see my two kids sitting together reading a book I think of the photos. So to sum it up, I live and breathe photography and want any client to know that if you choose my services, you become a part of my life. I remember every client I have ever had, and the photos I took. I love watching my clients lives change, and capturing it all, I have a friend who was a client first, who came to me while pregnant with her now 3 year old son to have maternity photos, I have since captured her son in the early days, family photos, her wedding and now I’m excited to be going to capture her second belly bump and new baby when it arrives. I’m exceptionally lucky to meet some of the people I have met through my line of work. Some of my best friends were clients first and I am grateful every time I click the shutter and take a photo for what I do.
