Something about this The Game Is Now thing has been bothering me...
Specifically concerning the audio transmission. Mycroft says that the network numbers have dwindled.
What happened to them?
Remember the game they put out? (Sherlock: The Network)
Does this have anything to do with it?
Should we have the app to go along with this ARG?
Is going to be another disappointment?
I don't know. I'm just throwing ideas out there.
OMG A REAL SHERLOCK ARG

Sherlock & the Durrells in Corfu
So, I'm killing time sometime week before last(I think. I do not have a good sense of time, so correct me if I'm wrong)and I decide to watch the Durrells in Corfu before Sherlock comes on.
Ah surprise! Una Stubbs is on as-wait a second, Mrs. Haddock? Funny name, that. Sounds a little like 'Mrs. Hudson,' and puts me in the mind of red herrings.
"But, no, there's nothing weird about that," I think, "It's just a name, nothing more."
And then I get proved wrong.
Bear with me for just a moment, if you will, as I recap a bit.
Mrs. Haddock is a nice lady that their aunt meets on the way to the Durrells' house. The aunt invites her to stay with her at the Durrells', & she agrees.
She claims to be a medium, and thus prompts Louisa Durrell(the mother)to try to reach out to her dead husband.
Soon, they decide to hold a séance.
Then, it happens.
Just as the seance begins, the windows fly open, a pan gets mysteriously thrown across the room, & Louisa feels ectoplasm on her hand. Leslie tries to take a picture, in hopes to see his father’s spirit.
But in the flash's light, they see that Mrs. Haddock is holding a syringe of slime.
The youngest boy, seeing the trick for what it is, he yells, "This is a HOAX!"
"This is an outrage!" Mrs. Haddock cries, before fleeing to get her bags.
(Said the fandom to creators, am I right?)
The family has a fight here, and a few reveal that they've paid Mrs. Haddock for her "services."
We see a scene of Mrs. Haddock running down the drive in the rain, bags in hand, not caring about the hurt or confusion she's caused.
*Cough*
A bit later, the Durrells are looking to see how she did it.
The youngest boy holds a string up that's tied to the pan, and says something like, "So, that's how she made it move," to his brother.
The older brother scoffs, "Yes, thank you, Sherlock."
The kid stares at him, confused.
"Sherlock? Sherlock Holmes?" The older brother asks, surprised, then settles into annoyance again.
"Read one book," He says, then leaves.
~~~
Let me tin-hat for a moment here.
It seems to me that Mrs. Haddock is something of a mirror of season four in general-there's promises of good things to come, that this will be best the long run, and then she ultimately screws them over.
But, not before being audacious enough to tell them that they are the ones who are wrong, when they're clearly right, and that her 'plan' was so plainly shown to them.
Then, she runs off into the dark, never to be seen or heard of again.
Kind of how our writers are looking, eh?
Then, there's that obvious shout out to Sherlock, & as if it wasn't plain enough the first time, he repeats it twice. Just to let us know a mirror or a clue when we find one, I guess.
Thoughts, anyone?
um. what.
