Sherlock fandom drama

So, let me get this queer:

Recent dramas in the Sherlock fandom include, but are not limited to whether it is or is not problematic to call enthusiastic consent a kink, and Benedict Cumberbatch looking less than enthusiastic in a photo with a fan. That about sums it up?

Well, then it’s official. We have actually reached the point of hiatus intensity where we’ve run out of real drama, and just jump on anything. Next week, is it problematic to not overreact to every little thing going on?

(For anyone wondering, no I don’t think it’s problematic to call enthusiastic consent a kink, even less so with the underlining of the enthusiastic bit. And no, I don’t think it’s that terribly surprising that after all this time there’s a bad photo with Benedict and a fan, especially with this being an extra busy year for him both professionally and personally. You guys have no chill. I’m running on no sleep and got an exam in manufacturing technology tomorrow, and am still feeling the aftereffects of a thirty year crisis + heavy period + usual depression + every thing else, and I still have chill.)

When Stephen Moffat wrote ASiB, he changed a specific aspect of Irene Adler and her motivation. In his opinion, a strong female character going to great lengths and challenging some of the greatest minds for the main reason of protecting her husband, was not feministic.

And then he wrote HLV.

I actually don't get why people immediately assumed that Sherlock isn't his given name, simply because his full name is William Sherlock Scott Holmes. But then my mother's full name goes Name Given Name Another Name Surname, so yeah.... Not everyone has their given name first.

Sherlock musing: John's a seasoned doctor. He's had to use his skills on dangerous battlefields before he met Sherlock, on their cases, being Sherlock's doctor when he gets sick.. but that last moment with Sherlock's fall--off a hospital no less--John couldn't do anything with his doctor skills to help save him. And that hurts more to the poor fellow who did not only lost his best friend. And that was the only technical skill he was better at than Sherlock had, too.
