When I rewatched the ending of THoB a thought occurred and it really scares me: What if Mycroft's "All right. Let him go." isn't a resigned decision to release Moriaty because he has no evidence to hold him captive any longer, but it's Mycroft caving in to Moriaty's demands, his price for some life-saving information for example...
And dear Jim has written his price all over the cell: SHERLOCK.
