Hi! How are you today? It doesn’t has to do with fic recs but do you know if there is any Sherlockcon in London?
Hi Lovely!
I’m well, thank you, hope you’re doing good as well! <3
According to their website, they haven’t had a Sherlocked UK since 2017 (if I recall correctly, they decided because of low numbers in 2017 they wouldn’t do it in 2018… DON’T QUOTE ME, I don’t remember exactly why). I think they’re focussing all their energy on the Escape Room instead.
Methinks Sherlocked won’t be back until another season -- if it happens -- comes out. Given how disinterested / blasé all the cast / crew seemed about going to the one in 2018 in the US, I’ll be surprised if they do one in the UK this year. BUT it is closer to home in the UK, so I suppose it’s easier for everyone to get there. But if they do, just keep watching that website, it will update with info for the con.
As I mentioned, though, I think they’re only interested in the Escape Room at present, given that the word is that they’re trying to finagle a way to bring it to the US as well.
If any of my UK friends have heard anything related to Sherlocked UK, let me know. Or even if anyone in the L.A. area has heard about Sherlocked US / Escape Room. I figure if it was happening, we would have heard about it by now. :P
In the same talk as #14 about developing the different styles for the characters Claire talked about the development of Sherlock’s hair style from the pilot to ASiP!
Before they started filming they had to try out the styles and it was on one of her last working days before holidays, when she did Ben’s hair!
When she finally arrived home after a long day, she got a phone call from (I guess it was) Steven who said: “Claire, what have you done to Ben’s hair??”
She was totally surprised: “Why? What?”
Steven: “He hates it!! You have to fix it!”
She said she was utterly confused: “I don’t understand it! Everything was fine when I left him….!?”
So before she headed down back to London in a winter evening she called Ben to check what was wrong…..
And guess what….
His mom didn’t like it!!!! :’-))))
So what happened: After his hair session with Claire Ben went home to his parents’ BY BIKE!!
And not only that… by bike IN MISTY DRIZZLY WEATHER!!!
And not only that… by bike in misty drizzly weather with A BIKE HELMET ON!!!!
So he arrived home and took that helmet of off his freshly styled now soaked wet and flattened hair and his mom went :”Oh no!”
And first thing he did was ring Steven and tell him that his mom doesn’t like his hair…. :’-))))
Last year, I started a list of questions I had post-series 4. I started it just to keep track for myself, but when I found out that the Sherlocked US event in LA would take questions through their webpage, I submitted them. I had about 50 by then. I submitted all of them. One got asked, but not answered.
By Sherlocked UK in October, I had 100 questions. And I submitted all of them again. Some I submitted more than once, because they were relevant to more than one panel. Two got asked. I heard about one of the answers, but not the other.
Now I have 130 questions. But Sherlocked US isn’t going to accept questions through their website this year. So I’m posting this for anyone who might be going, or who might be attending any kind of Sherlock fan event. Feel free to use these, if you want.
I have to give credit to all of the amazing fans that I follow and interact with on social media and IRL, because many, if not most, of these questions came about as a result of their posts and conversations. I certainly can’t take credit for thinking all of them up myself.
I don’t expect I’ll ever get real answers to any of them. But if you do use them, I would love to hear about it! And if you do get answers, I’d love to hear about those, too. I’m going to keep collecting questions and I’ll post the working list occasionally.

I am just putting this out there to see if anybody can help me trace somebody.
She attended the Sherlocked convention in Birmingham UK on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday 27th to 29th October.
On Friday, she was dressed as Sherlock (ok as were quite a few people) with the Belstaff and purple shirt; difference being she had the flower crown in her hair like...
On the Saturday, she wore a long elegant dress with her hair slicked back. On the Friday, when I spoke to her briefly, she had the Sherlock and John kissing t-shirt on, black pants, DM boots and dark eye make-up.
She was accompanied by two girls and an older guy and I believe they are from Germany. She is about 5.8" slim with dark hair.
Please, if anyone recognises this description, could they pass this message on to her or to me as I really need to contact her. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
I believe @khorazir may have seen her although I believe khorazir only arrived on Saturday morning . Apologies to the additional people I have tagged here but I am just hoping too that you may be able to help as I have read your accounts from the event on tumblr. Thank you!
Forget the Baker Street boys... They're my Scotland Yard boys. (I'm from Scotland hence the Irn Bru 😅 plus the two of them actually love to drink the stuff! Thankfully they got the joke, Rupert's Scottish accent is to die for. It's so good!!)
