Did not like the unnecessarily melodramatic first episode of Season 4.  But the second episode... Damn. Completely soul-destroying. And I love how they remained true to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original story which it was based on, The Dying Detective, in their own way. Will commend them on that.  BUT MOFFAT, IF YOU DID WHAT I THINK YOU DID IN THAT ENDING... YOU BETTER NOT SCREW IT UP. DO IT RIGHT. FINE, CRUSH OUR SOULS. BUT CRUSH IT IN A WAY THAT WON’T MAKE US HATE THE SHOW. WE DESERVE THAT. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP TRYING SO HARD TO WIN THE AUDIENCE. IT’S ALMOST SAD. I WANT THE SHERLOCK OF S1 AND S2, WHEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH ALL THESE AMAZING CHARACTERS. NOT AN ENDING THAT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER AND DEFIES THE LAWS OF PHYSICS. THANK YOU. NOW LET’S ALL WAIT FOR THE FINALE AND HOLD TIGHT AND TRY NOT TO CRY.
