OK, but before Sherlock met John, he wasn’t too happy. He had Greg, but not much else. No one was really his friend.
After he met John, things were looking up. A nice girl started a job with him. She became a good friend who was there to help. She had problems of her own, and wasn’t great at hiding them, but Sherlock valued Molly’s friendship. He moved in with John and Mrs. Hudson. Mrs.Hudson cared about him too. And he was so happy just being with John. That was enough for him.
Then John started dating other women. We watch Sherlock falling hopelessly in love. We see him when John is looking away. He looks sad. Molly is a representation of us. Watching him fall for John. Looking sad when John can’t see him.
Watching John with other women. Thinking about how it could have been. Having no idea that John feels the same. That John thinks about Sherlock too. But he’s just too afraid to admit it.
We watch a journey of two men who are stuck on the edge, afraid to make the first move.
Why did they make BBC Sherlock the saddest love story in all of history?
