Facts about "She's a Monkey" (SAM) on Twitter or Tumblr: The SAM material that I show on Twitter can be considered inappropriate because there are cigarettes, beer, drugs, references to inappropriate rock music, economic, emotional, social problems, etc. Even when it's a Dixie Kong fanfic.

Personally, I think that these are issues that children suffer anyway and that therefore we should talk about them without romanticizing or sanitizing. But as far as I know, it is forbidden to mention some of these things in family entertainment.

But what about SAM's "spicy" content? On twitter or Tumblr I will only show light "spicy" content, things that are on the level of "Rocko's Modern Life" or "Malcolm in the Middle", things that are comical, important to the plot or depth of characters.

Strong "spicy" content will not be shown on Twitter or Tumblr, there are many other internet sites where you can see it. That material was created as a bait to attract all people who evade DK, I noticed that they are very kind to sexy characters whether they deserve it or not.

For that reason SAM is with an adult Dixie Kong, even though she is short, we all know that she and Diddy could not be taller, this is demonstrated with the growth of Tiny. The only minor character in the fanfic is Kiddy, so he only has child problems, school stress and the like.

Why Dixie Kong? She is my favorite, besides being one of the female characters that has received the most injustice from critics, from gamers, from her owners or even in safe or inappropriate art, she is portrayed as a damsel in distress or as a abomination many of the times.

Why put depth in a fanfic about a family game? Frankly because it is easier for me.

Where do I get the depth of each character? I try to use what I find in the lore canon, almost always I mix it with the cartoon, the comics, the manga and with the statements of the people responsible for the dkc trilogy.

If you wanted me to be attached to the canon, why did you switch to couples? The plot of Diddy breaking up with Dixie and being Tiny's boyfriend was for a fangame with Donkey Kong as the protagonist, that situation should help him to know if Candy was betraying the kongs or not.

It is a somewhat tangled plot. But when I canceled it, I wanted to explore the situation of Diddy, Dixie and Tiny, at the same time I saw that they asked Bowsette for Smash. That's when it occurred to me to start with this, I didn't think it would work, but somehow it is working.

Many people approached for the strong "spicy" content without knowing Dixie, then they touched the rest of the material that I gave them (jokes, wikis, dkvine, etc), now some of those people have tried to play video games or show their sympathy to her for being such a bold and / or cute kong.

Why Krunch? Search among the kongs, the kremlings and other characters from the DKuniverse (without Mario), in the end there was only Lanky, Kip and Krunch left (for apparent ages). Krunch was chosen for his courage, empathy and because he seems to be more of a rocker than Diddy.

Finally I want to add one more thing, this fanfic is a universe where Diddy broke up with Dixie but they are still friends, in a universe where Diddy and Dixie are a couple, Krunch is just a potential friend (friends are important). I like my fan fic, but I like the canon too.

Originally the name “She’s a monkey” is the name of the fan fiction of DixieKrunch, as it would be an objection that a kremling would use.

The main reason why I continue with that very strange fan fiction is because I really liked the interaction of a couple based on rock music. I can’t do this with original characters, because I use a LOT of lyrics and names of rock songs for the drawings, which would give me a lot of legal problems or be unethical for me, however if I use them for a fan fic, I don’t see the problem since I do not earn money from it or I am hanging on the fame of others (I don't get fame to myself because this is not even my real nickname).

About guitars is just my theory, nobody has mentioned what kind of guitars are. This amazing man is Albert King (no kong, but i like “kongised” or “kremised” some great musicians), Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Dick Dale were left handed guitarists.

The orientation of the beret and that she is left-handed are just things that I like to draw, there is NO rule about this. It's like when I draw Dixie as a barbary macaque and Tiny as a hybrid of barbary macaque and gorilla, it's not a rule, I just draw them like that because I find it more comfortable. Because Dixie (from DKC 2 and 3, SNES) has monkey anatomy but has no tail and Tiny grew much more than her older sister.
