Tomorrow is February 1st, which is the first day of the American Cancer Society's Read Every Day challenge. It's also the anniversary of my dad's death, from lung cancer.
Everyone who knows me knows that I'm a reader. Always have been, hopefully always will be. Reading everyday is unlikely to be a challenge for me. That being said, I will be donating $5 for every day that I *do* read, hopefully for a total of $140. I may do more, if finances allow, but I can at least donate that.
Some people have already donated (before the challenge even started! overachievers!), and I am incredibly grateful. I didn't, and still don't, expect anyone else to donate, but please know that I will always be appreciative of anyone who does.
I hope to post everyday with what I'm reading, and how much I've read. This is to keep myself on track, and also because I'd like to see how much I get read during the entire month, both in pages and minutes. The current idea is to post or maybe link every day's progress on this post. We'll see how that actually goes.
Thank you for reading. Fingers crossed!
(here is the link for the donation page in case anyone is interested. It's hosted through Facebook, which is what it is. Please, honestly, don't feel pressured to donate)
