I keep seeing this floating around without my name. This poem has caused me a lot of frustration since it’s birth in April 2015. It bounces around social media and gets tweaked and owned and even made fun of. There are people that do not like the analogy of using diamonds around the neck. I even found a poetry thread on google where people were ripping this thing to threads and really putting far too much time into my thinking. I’m seriously not THAT complicated. 🤣🤣 I wrote this in a notebook on the way to my goddaughter’s christening on a Sunday morning. The words just flowed and I allowed them. I’ve seen this quoted in magazine articles without my name. In an interview of a female singer... again without my name. On motivational coaches Facebook pages. Without my name. If you see it as your zooming through your newsfeeds *without my name* please tell the poster who it really belongs to and that it is copyrighted and published in my book Abandoned Breaths. ____ #shesbeenthroughhell #alfaquotes #alfapoet #poetry #poems ✍🏻 ______________ Did you know I have 5 books of poetry?
