Waitttt… quick question on The Marauder’s Map. It’s stated in the books that a wizards magic becomes undead when the wizard dies right? Remember when Dumbledore died in The Half-Blood Prince and the spell he had put on Harry broke the moment he died? If the Marauder’s made the map with their magic and they all died does that mean the map stopped working? What about when James died? Did the map lose just some of its magic then? And when Sirius died? Peter? Remus? Does this mean the map shouldn’t work anymore? But then James uses it in The Cursed Child which means it still works. Someone please explain the magic involved in the creation of this map? How the hell did these four students manage to create this map? Or am I missing something?
