“You know as country as Blake- he prides himself as a country guy and all this stuff, he is, tried and true, like no doubt about it for sure but he’s also not a typical guy in any way cause what he believes and who he is as a person is very individualistic. He’s not- he doesn’t subscribe to any- he doesn’t adhere to any sort of strict way to be as a country artist or as a person and he and I, in a way he have the same exact beliefs and also a bunch of really different ones. But what’s cool about Blake and why he’s perfect for the show is first of all, he’s hysterically funny, he’s got one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know and he’s so loyal as a friend and he’s so loyal to these people on this show as a coach. It’s literally, it’s not possible not to love this guy, you know.. I talk crap all the time about him, I take pride in doing it. I love it. It’s an art at this point. But you know, he’s just- there are people in this world that can’t be duplicated and he’s one of them.”
