Rule 4 - Let them know you’ve tagged them.
1. If you had the opportunity to be the opposite gender for a week, would you do it and if so, what would you do whilst not being yourself?
Would I? Would I? Goddammit, I wish I had this opportunity like ALL THE TIME. I probably wouldn't even do much different. I'd take pictures and record my voice and, I don't even know. I act pretty androgynous anyway, so it's not like my behaviour would be heavily impacted or anything. I'd dress up like Jim all week, and speak in a Dublin accent for a large majority of the time.
2. What is your secret talent that no-one knows about?
I have no secret talents. I can write, but most people know that. I'm alright at art, I suppose. But I do it as an A Level so it's not really secret. I tried to learn how to tie a cherry stem with my tongue, but I never managed it. I can repeat a few poems off by heart, but that's not really talent, that's practice or learning. I play an ace Moriarty, but I never shut up about that. Errrr. Oh! I'm surprisingly good at rearranging furniture, according to my mother. And according to the company I did my work experience with I have the copy writing ability of a second year degree student (but that's still writing, I suppose.) This is a long answer. I'll stop now.
3. What is your favourite word? It doesn’t have to be English, it can be whatever language you like, even gibberish. And why?
NO. NO. GET OUT. I LIKE LOTS OF WORDS. MY GOSH. I HATE THIS QUESTION. I take interests in different words, actually. Last week I liked lethargy, lately I enjoy the sound of perplexity. I don't have any overall favourite. It changes frequently.
4. What is your most basic primal fear ?
I don't even know. I grew up terrified of rats. I love animals, and I liked mice, so I'm not really sure where this originated from. I think someone told me they rip your throat out if cornered, and my child's mind distorted this and spun it into a complete monstrosity. And someone told me they could climb, so I always felt like you could never escape them. I used to have reoccurring dreams of a colony of rats just swarming over my house and tearing me apart when I was younger. Lovely.
I'm also terrified of heights. A fact I have been in denial of for years and only recently have I come to terms with it.
5. Would you rather be a Time Lord or a witch/wizard and why?
Well, I don't watch Dr Who and Harry Potter built part of the foundation for my childhood, so I'm going to go with witch here. Also, Hogwarts, mythical creatures, spells, chocolate frogs, what is there NOT to love about being a witch?
6. What is your proudest moment in your life so far?
I don't even know. Not to say I haven't been proud of anything, I just don't know what would be my proudest. Hmm. Being shortlisted for the Wicked Young Writers' Award was pretty chill.
7. What do yo want to do when you grow up/what is your dream job?
I wonder...hawhaw. Write ALL the things. Novelist, primarily, but give me pies and I will stick my fingers in them all! (That's a weird phrase, actually, I don't really like it). I'd write anything, really. A screenwriter and playwright would be cool to add to my profile as well. I wouldn't mind dabbling in copy writing. I'd love to do a bit of acting. I REALLY WANT TO BE A STORYTELLER. Legit. In all seriousness. On one of those colourful children's shows, with books about talking animals and over dramatic expressions. Wouldn't mind a bit of photography, either.
8. What is your favourite feature about yourself? (Feel free to boast.)E.G. your smile, hair, eyes, legs, singing voice etc.
Easy peasy. Overall, my imagination. Physically, my eyes. They're dark blue around the edges and lighter towards the center, usually, but they change in the light and I just really like them.
9. Would you rather be Sherlock or John and why?
While John is more down to Earth and pleasant, I relate more to Sherlock. The power to deduce people would be an added bonus. I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't wish they could do that? Also, Jim would want me to come and play with him hohohoh wat.
10. Where is your dream place to live?
Not going to lie, I have a weak spot for Belfast. Don't ask me why, I know in comparison to all the other places in the world it probably pales, but I can't help it. It owns a bit of me. Luckily, I will be moving there next year. Hawhawhaw. Failing that, I'd quite like to live in London for a year. Then maybe America for a while or somewhere like that.
11. Write something. A small something. A poem, if you like. Haikus are fun. Or write fanfiction. Write a little creative something for the world to see. Please?
Oh dear. I don't work well under demand. Hm, okay, hm.
It's a cold winter evening. You know the type, where the wind blows right through you, cuts down to the bone and each breath is a puff of fog before your eyes. It's dark, too. Flickering street lights unreliable light sources. No stars out, not tonight. I rub my hands together, try and walk quicker, but the pavement is an icy death trap and I dare not increase my pace any further.
You try and struggle, but you lose your footing on the ice and go down. I'm not cold anymore. The fighting has warmed me up. That's quite a bang you hit your head. Are you okay? Not that it matters. Not anymore. You know too much.
The fog of my breath fades. So does the light in your eyes.
It's the zombie apocalypse. Oh lordy! Right, grab your weapon, your two team members, brief me on your strategy and tell me if you survive. (be realistic, dears. We all like to think we'd be zombie fighting pros, but that's not life, unfortunately.)
What's your starsign and do you think it suits you?
You can have a dinner party (or some other party, whatever) with any five people, dead or alive. Who do you invite and why?
Stranded on an island, can only bring three things, what do you bring? (No cheating. There's food and water sources on the island, and you can't bring anything to aid your escape)
Out of all the people in the world, who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with? Who would you least like?
Original 150 only, who are the six Pokémon on your team?
If you could have any superpower, what would you have and why? What would you do with it, you power hungry little squirrel?
Okay, your ultimate gig. You're allowed two supports and one main act. Who do you pick?
If you could be any animal, which and why? Alternatively, which do you feel is most like you?
Last questions, last question! It's the end of the world. Or rather, it's the end of your world. Sorry, pet. You've just been told you have a week to live. Eek. That sucks. Who do you tell/how do you spend it, so on, so forth?
I'm really lazy and can't be bothered harassing you all in your ask boxs, so if you're here, do it. Don't make me track you down.
